It seems like a worthwhile system from the library and the features. If you want something pocketable which the Switch is not then go for it. Some games are better than their Switch entries (Animal Crossing New Leaf, Mario sports games have better content and don't have worse updates and content lacking because research) and best of all they are likely cheaper. Old consoles have their worth the Switch doesn't have two screens or certain games so it isn't the best console to do things it can't do and the 'just because it's new move on to new things' mentality always makes me laugh. The Switch can't play DS games so a DS/3DS works. The newest thing isn't the best thing sometimes an older device can work for a kid or just some different entries in a series if hate the Switch ones or want a handheld for your pocket oh right the Switch is wider than a 3DS. Also who cares about new or graphics if the gameplay is what counts. I'd the games are fun who cares. I'd rather play PS2 era games than a cinematic experience that's so boring and basic with no fun mechanics making me play longer while the others had experimental titles early 3D or not of Devs learning some are fun and those ideas have not been replicated and were good. Just because it wasn't marketed better than something else doesn't mean the ideas weren't good. I own a Wii U doesn't mean I think the Switch is better I prefer the Wii U the Switch is just a tablet with Joycons so what. A PSP has a dock, Pocket PCs, the Nomad and Turbo Express are Genesis and Turbo Grapx on the go it's not like it hasn't been done before. I like the things it does different and the Switch can't do certain things because it's a DS on the TV the Switch isn't. I could use my phone cast to the TV it is similar but not the same experience. Old doesn't mean bad.

The New 3DS looks really cool compared to the New 2DS XL and regular 3DS XL that i bought back in 2015. i cheaped out in 2017 and got the New 2DS XL :(

The 3DS can understand WPA2/PSK(AES) it doesn't need WEP like the PS/DS do. It is however like the Vita limited to 2.4Ghz connections if you have a 5Ghz connection it will not see it or let you connect to it. Even the earliest PS4 model only had 2.4 then it got a wifi chip upgrade and the Slim/Pro version has the upgraded chip for 5ghz.
What happens if you cant press the things on it and it dosent have a stylis or those pencil things,sicne i juts got my nintendo 3ds and i cant start it up ebcause i cant press the stuff
