  • Urban communities in towns mostly rely on wood fuel as the main #energy source and this is driving the #forest cover right down.
Dunga beach in Kisumu is a tourist destination and there are numerous restaurants right at the beach all of them generting a lot of organic waste from their kitchens, which was ending up in Lake Victoria - creating all sorts of problems.
We collect the organic waste from the community and about 800 kilos of water hyacinth daily from the Lake, produce #biogas and provide the gas back to the community.
Fish mongers at the beach who were using an upwards of Ksh 700 ($7) daily on firewood now enjoy using a clean and affordable cooking energy.

@Flexi Biogas I have a question. Where can I get those inflatable bags you are using to store the biogas?
What is the maximum pressure of the biogas that the bacteria can create / generate? or does it require a compressor if I want to store the gas in regular propane gas container?
    Thank you in advance.
