Those writers who promote forced marriages and domestic abuse need to be held accountable. Dramas are not just entertainment, dramas actually influence the society. If a writer shows domestic abuse in every episode, he just can't get away by saying "it's just a drama." Art has the ability to change people's perception either for better or worse, therefore the artist has a social responsibility to make sure the audience takes a good message from his art.

It is good to see a director accepting and explaining flaws of his directorial project. I would like to see writers, good and bad, to be invited and asked critical questions about their scripts, the messages they give through them, and about the quality of writing and dialogues. These writers have a responsibility towards the society and therefore should be held answerable. This will help improve the content and script quality of our dramas. Sadly, most bad writers would not like critical questions. It is because of no accountability that every crap goes on air in the name of drama. Out of over a hundred dramas that are shown each week, only 3- 4 are really good, a few average, the rest are a torture to watch.

    • @mahnoorqureshi3281
      @mahnoorqureshi3281 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@samraz6958 The bad ones need to be made answerable more than the good ones, otherwise they will continue with the sub standard saas bahu stuff. Even saas bahu dramas can be given an interesting angle, don't have to conspiracy type always. I personally have more problem with two wives dramas than with the saas bahu. The former can have only one angle that is toxic.

I just hope that Amaan is not dead in the end because no matter how wrong he might have been to Aina, it just cant take away what her dad did to him. He deserves to live, he deserves all the happiness he hasn't seen since his parents death. Same goes with Aina she deserves to be happy, she has been through alot. Her dad suppressed her memory by the pills she used to take which were recommended to her by the therapists doesn't really wash away those memories. Whenever is it that she will get to know the truth, she will realise how much Amaan did love her and was speaking truth. So they both should end up together.

Lovedddd the interview. Well done Hassan. The questions were so apt. The way Ahsan Talish accepted the flaws and criticism is commendable. I loved how he praised Ahad and Sajal and shared his experience of working with them. They are undoubtedly mindblowing actors that I feel words are not enough that do justice to their acting. And I believe YDM is Ahad's FINEST FINEST WORK till date. HE IS FLAWLESS.
The thing made me tense is 'justified ending' and that too 'that many won't like'...If he means to say that Amaan will die than NOOOOO I DON'T WANT HIM TO DIE 😭😭😭😭 I WANT HAPPY ENDING. AMAAN AND AINA BOTH DESERVE TO BE HAPPY PLEASE😭😭😭😭

You guys just brush that aside and blame Amaan as if he was the one who ordered the murder in the blink of an eye. For Saira's death if anyone is to blame it's Mir Farooq. So who should pay? @@mutibamunir9861 Saira was being negligent. Amaan had warned her to do as Mir Farooq asked to prove her loyalty to him but she became so nervous about being sent to Dubai that she ended up calling Amaan on his personal SIM contact to vent. Then she accidentally carried her cellphone outside the washroom and immediately upon realizing her mistake, she rushed back inside. Her hurried movement was caught on camera and her cellphone was found by Ali Baksh. Since Mir Farooq had asked Saira to cut contact with the outside world, she stood defiant. Mir Farooq didn't spare a minute and got her killed.
Amaan knew Mir Farooq's capabilities and he had taken care of Saira's safety. He had invented a blackmailer for Saira to stand behind so she wouldn't be suspected. When Saira was dead, Amaan wasn't guilty but he used that to accelerate his revenge activity. I don't think he would have sent those emails to Mir Farooq when he did if it wasn't for Saira's death.
Amaan told Mir Farooq that his plan B was to conduct a conference with Saira's family and plan C was to give the proofs of Saira's marriage to Aina.
Amaan knows Mir Farooq murdered Saira but he needs proofs to report the incident. Since Mir Farooq leaves no traces of the crime, Amaan cannot actually use the legal route to bring Saira to justice. Right now all he is using is big talk to keep Mir Farooq within limits.

Writing a shady character is easy but executing that shady character is very difficult. Amaan has the most difficult character because his character is like 50 shades of grey. He is a different personality in front of different characters. He has a switch on and off button. For example: he is a gentleman in front of Anna but a real savage in front of Agha Jaan. No character knows the real Amaan. Only the audience knows the real amaan.

Awesome interview Hassan👏👏👌👌 Thanks Aeshun sir for clearing all our issues related to YDM the show is a breath of fresh air and marvellous performances over all❤🔥 I am glad we'll get a justified end even if its 30+ episodes a psychological thriller needs to be handled carefully n slowly. Hope its a happy ending I dont want Amaan or Aina to die they deserve a happy ending😭❤

I had no idea so much work and time goes into making a drama! Hats off to all the unsung heroes helping make the words on a script into a reality!
It really does take a village.
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview! Thank you to both of you!
Also not to be catty but this is how you’re supposed to interview a director. The director didn’t rant, throw shade on another channel, took criticism with grace and explained everything. The interviewer was not a prop, he was diplomatic in asking the right challenging questions and complimented the work too.
    Not. Being. Catty
    (I totally am lol)

I think there's one problem that I see recurring. We make fun of a ridiculous drama like Thora Sa Haq and watch and review it because it's a guilty pleasure. Mashal Khan said six more episodes of that nonsense were coming and she was waiting expectantly for twists every time she watched an episode that went on air. The project is close to her heart but I hope she plays the lead in better plays.
For a drama that we have high hopes for like Ye Dil Mera saying, "Since it's such a blockbuster/hit/masterpiece..." right before calling it irrational, we wonder when the drama will finally close because we're quick to critique and judge its pace and plot.
We have long been making theories and jumping to conclusions so when we finally see one theory or the other materialize, we step ahead of ourselves and just want the drama to end. The first eight episodes were breezy with no actual plot. That's when the characters were being introduced so we knew the good guy and the bad guy very well.
What we're seeing right now is the juicy stuff. We've been asking about revenge because ultimately the criminal in a murder mystery must be served. As soon as that revenge begins to unfold, we want it to wrap up and create our own alternate or brief ending.
A psychological thriller if anything would involve a lot of mind games which Amaan had been playing with Aina on that honeymoon and after it. It would also have a lot of flashbacks popping up in the brains of the leading cast but we complain we've seen that enough.
Isn't it the writer's prerogative where Aina stays or where she goes? I as a viewer have a heavier inclination to legitimize people's behaviour in a story I haven't written than ask for a different behaviour.
Most of the comments I have read defending Ye Dil Mera and sometimes disagreeing with Hasan have been respectful analysis and viewer interpretation. Some people whose tone sounds averse to the drama, its cast or theme, call the different opinions in the comments section, "toxic fans of Sahad" or "taking Hasan by the collar" when no one is being this dramatic. Can we all agree to disagree? Welcome a discussion.

Also, the place mentioned near shogran is called Khania, the hotel is right on the banks of the river. Like a piece of heaven on earth. I remember going there in my childhood, at that time the place didn’t have electricity access. Spent the night with latterns. An absolutely magical experience.

About your constructive criticism, sometimes, you guys disagree with the writer unnecessarily. When something happens that is humanly impossible, that's another thing. But when something is a character's decision, it's how the writer chose to tell the story, you cannot argue it's illogical. people don't behave "logically" all the time. There is no set formula everyone follows. If everyone behaves according to a set formula, there are no stories!!
Innocent until proven guilty is a rule in court, people don't behave, and they don't have to, the same way as they would in court all the time.
Why do you think it should wrap up? it was not just a murder mystery, it has other very strong elements , of love, revenge, realization , .. only murder mysteries have unraveled, it is yet to see all the characters will handle it and how it will change their lives.
