Wow, I have a fuchsia button on my 6-ring key holder. I’ve just recently got some rubs that show the natural color of the leather, and I’ve had mine almost 2 years (plus, I drop it constantly). It sounds like you got a defective one. I’m glad they stepped up and made it right. This makes me want to try the Valley Fair LV, though I avoid San Jose like it’s Chernobyl
gottahaveshades I am not sure if it’s because I got the light colored rose ballerine or if it was defective but I have a Damier ebene wallet with a red leather button and no issue! And haha I only go for the LV Customer Service there which really has been superior for me

It's a beautiful wallet Sam! I never would've kept it this clean and pristine like you did. That button does look like a bit high maintenance but is very appropriate to the overall design. I go to the Palo Alto store too :)
I would agree the leather buttons are just higher maintenance but for some reason I am still drawn to them! I used to go to Palo Alto a lot and still do to browse but since my SA there left customer service has been really bad for me 😞

I had the same problem with my Rosaline Card Case. It's a shame it happened so fast with yours. Mine took about a year to show wear.
She's The Posh I wonder if it’s because I got such a light color with the rose ballerina 🤔I am tempted to try the clear nail polish trick but then I am worried if something happens to it again LV won’t repair it

I’ve debated putting polish on my rose ballerine button on my keyholder. I’ve heard they could replace it with a brass button but not sure
Brittany Good i have also debated the nail polish! Unfortunately three different sa at three different lvs told me they have to replace it with the part that goes with the wallet aka the pink button. Not sure if this would always be true because I feel like at LV it depends who you ask but I was always told no.
I am getting this wallet, do you recommend using clear nail polish over it ?
Did you end up applying clear nail polish to the button? If it were to still wear with the nail polish applied I wonder if LV would replace it again in the future...
Kelly Gulino I have not! I don’t believe LV will fix the button if they know about the nail polish. They won’t fix anything altered by the customer
I’m hoping they would do this for my victorine wallet too. The glazing on my wallet is starting to peel after 1yr and few months. I actually had to stop using it for a while in the hopes to preserve it but whats the use of having a wallet if you cant use it right. Hopefully they can repair it!
They will very likely repair it. Whether it’s free or not will depend on who you talk to! I honestly think anything within a 2 year time frame from Normal use should be a free repair lol
