Getting them all Vegas style changes the taste to me. They all taste similar because of the spicy tuna! Thanks for the video. I didn’t know you could do Vegas style ☺️
Yes and No, I did find what you say to be true at Sushi Neko, but not at Yama Sushi. I think Yama has more diverse sauces and toppings. Thanks for watching!!
Your videos always make me so hungry. I want to try to Roe, one of my favorite things. I will leave the oysters to you 😉 One day I am sure I will make it back to Vegas, and thanks to your videos I will have way too many places I will want to eat at! Thank you.
I Know! Since we've started doing these reviews we can't ever figure out where to go on days we aren't taping a session. Well, it's a good problem to have, 😁
Great review, I like Neko's fish to rice ration but like Yama sushi better for taste. Your voice is very soothing. Can you try Yama Sushi on Spring Mountain. Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting. And...we're way ahead of you, lol. We love Yama as well. Here is our review of them: th-cam.com/video/No3GAJmhgPE/w-d-xo.html
@@LetsEatVegas there are two meals I have to be really hungry to have... Dim Sum and AYCE sushi. The former because it's just too much starch and not my favorite except for a very few dishes, the later because I can eat so much it's hard to stop. There's no saving room for dessert at AYCE, I've got to make room!
@@LetsEatVegas YES one would think that, but the real estate prices here are the highest in North America and have been for a long time so nothing opens up!
Ahh, makes sense. That is definitely a business killer. We saw the same thing in LA and is one of the reasons so many LA restaurants have closed in the last few years. Very sad to see.
Thanks for another great review. I noticed there is no sashimi available on the menu. I guess for $29.95 that would be too much to offer. Just plenty of rolls to fill you up faster with the rice! If I went there, I would order all the “only once” items that I like right away. Then I would order a round or two of Nigiri and maybe some rolls more towards the end. And order the Affogato for dessert. I do know that you order a variety to show to the viewers so I understand all the rolls. But for $29.95, you can’t go wrong. Many of those rolls would be $15 and up for each at any regular Japanese restaurant so it is an awesome bargain to eat here. Keep the good reviews coming!
Yes! We probably should have said more about the good bargain the AYCE option is. The rolls are huge as well. We meant to order half rolls but forgot...oof...we were stuffed by the end, lol.
Straight nigiri with a couple rolls is the way to go! Uni, Eel, Salmon eggs, oyster, tuna, salmon, and that 300 albacore... Do they limit anything other than the oyster? Looks amazing!!
Is substituting spicy tuna for the fake crab an option at other AYCE places? I don't eat any crab, imitation or not, so that would really help me with more diversity since it seems like most places have it in 2/3 of their rolls. Although I love it I think spicy tuna can just dominate the flavor profile so maybe not too surprising that rolls are often quite similar. Is there a place with more diversity you have been to? (Okay I see you Sushi Ono review - I've been there, I'll have to return although I'm on a diet so AYCE is a stretch)
As far as I know most places will allow substitutions. I've not been to an AYCE sushi place here in Vegas which didn't allow it. Hope that helps...thanks for watching and commenting!
@@LetsEatVegas definitely a help! Since they make them to order it makes sense they could do this - it's not like you're in a 3-star Michelin restaurant where the chef will give you stink eye for such a request.
My late wife was fond of the rolls whereas I am a Sashimi person due to the fact I have always lived either by a sea or an ocean due to my dad being a Marine.
Japanese people in Japan actually don't eat or have never seen the American-style sushi rolls with rice on the outside. It's as foreign to them as chop suey and fortune cookie in China.
The nigiri is very good, but the rolls not so much. Check out our Yama review, th-cam.com/video/No3GAJmhgPE/w-d-xo.html and thanks for watching and commenting!
This place is very hit and miss but never great. Not the best even on a good day. That being said.. the strangest thing about this sushi place is the French fries. Yes, the fucking French fries are amazing!
I think we are in agreement. I felt we discussed the rolls being very 'one note' (the miss). The nigiri, however, was very good (the hit). Do you think we got this across? As for the fries...darn, wish we had tried them! Thanks for watching and commenting, 😁

Nice. Thanks for sharing. With all that great nigiri I'd skip all the rolls
There are two rolls I would get again (and get half rolls this time..we had WAY too much to eat, lol), but the nigiri is the way to go, 😋

Yes, very good Nigiri. You should try Yama as well, 😋
Seems pretty nice for the price, many options/choices! We sure do not have anything close to this in Vancouver!!!!
Oh, sorry to hear about Vancouver with regard to sushi. You need to move here, lol. Thanks for watching!
@@LetsEatVegas We have only 2 all you can eat sushi places with selections VERY limited like about 4 rolls and 4 types of nigiri...
I'm so sorry. I would have expected Vancouver to have so much more possibilities for sushi!

I love the Elvis impersonator in the booth lol
So funny. I hadn't realized I got him in the shot until later that night. It's Vegas, so, you know, Elvis is everywhere, lol.

Try JJango on Fort Apache.....I had this place and JJango on last trip and I liked JJango better.
Thanks for watching and the tip on JJanga. We'll check it out!
You didn't try the "No Name" roll! I'm a local and this is my favorite sushi spot. I mainly order the nigiri.
Hmmm, no, didn't try that one. Yes! The nigiri was fantastic...definitely the high point of their menu.
My late wife was fond of the rolls whereas I am a Sashimi person due to the fact I have always lived either by a sea or an ocean due to my dad being a Marine.
So sorry to hear about your wife, but nice to have sushi memories with her!
Gorilla sushi you should try.??
sushi neko 7.8/10
Thanks for watching. Been to Gorilla sushi a few times prior to the pandemic. Will have to try it again. Thanks for the comment!
What sushi spot is better or the best in your opinion?
Yama sushi on Spring Mountain. We did a video about them as well: th-cam.com/video/No3GAJmhgPE/w-d-xo.html
@@LetsEatVegas Thank you, for some reason as I looked through your videos, it was not easy to spot. I will check it out.
Yes, YT is difficult to search through. I wish they had a better way to look through the content on a channel, 😔
❤NigiriSushi
Agreed! Nigiri is fantastic, 😋😋

Their loss, lol. Thanks for watching!
how this place is so highly rated is puzzling. it's okay at best. maybe if u like rolls...
