I watched 3 doctors. I loved all of them, there were a lot of companions who were going to far galaxies and wibbly wobbly timelines, shouting "doctor!" but the one that I remember, will be Amy's. "DOCTOOR!!!"
This is honestly my favorite DW track. It just makes me long for Matt Smith to park the TARDIS outside my bedroom window and take me on adventures with him :)
If Matt Smith returns for the next anniversary special, then I hope that this soundtrack is used for his first appearance. I'm sure it would make it epic.

I had seen sporadic episodes of DW (old and new) over the years, but the continuity seemed too massive to ever try and actually catch up with it, especially here in America where its availability on TV has always been sketchy. Then a couple of months back I happened to catch a syndicated (aka cut to shreds) broadcast of The 11th Hour. And this one episode inspired me to watch (or RE-watch) every episode on Nflix in order, plus as much of classic stuff as I could fit into 1 free week at hulu (focusing mostly on the Tom Baker years). And I am quite conscious of the fact that this music (and the "can I come with you?" piece) played a huge part in my sudden inclination to do that. So, in a weird way, I feel doubly grateful to the people who made it and used it so effectively. After all those years they FINALLY inspired me to get invested in Dr. Who.

My quest to find odd time signatures in popluar media led me here. Turns out most instances of a unique time sig subconsciously attracted me to these pieces even as a kid. I guess that's kind of the point.
Honestly, eleven is my favorite doctor. Nine had the tired veteran aspect, and Ten had a lot of the adventuring trait, but Eleven was all around fantastic. His humor was so fresh and unique and it was amazing how he bumbled through crisis. It was always inspiring. Best theme too. Hate capaldi doctor though...
I couldn't stand Capaldi all that much in season 8 with perhaps the exceptions of "Time Heist" and a bit of the season finale. It wasn't so much that he was serious and grumpy, I've watched the Classic Series, I know just how mercurial the Doctor can be. Hell, Eleven could be quite taciturn when he wanted to. It was just how awful Capaldi's Doctor was being to Clara, after everything she'd done for him. He wouldn't even exist without her help! Clara's not even my favorite companion, but to go from how clearly Eleven seemed to just cherish her very presence to just how plain mean Twelve was being to her was a slap in the face. Once they lightened him up a bit towards her the rest of his character was allowed to shine and his bluntness and even awkwardness around other people had a charm to it instead of just making me hate him. I still get a chuckle out of that "I will hold Clara's hand" from the Christmas special and those note cards from the underwater two-parter. I wish Elisabeth Sladen were still alive so we could see Sarah Jane's reaction to the Aberdeen one! Oh, also was glad they cut the whole "I hate soldiers" after season 8. I couldn't stand it when Ten puled that hypocritical bs and I sure couldn't stand it with Twelve.

Good crazy is eating fish fingers and custard, bad crazy is repeatedly calling a guy a PE teacher even though you've been told many times he's a math teacher. I could think of better examples, but my mind just went blank. If anybody could think of better examples, maybe you could comment them I guess.
