5/28/24 Reclaim Chores Day 🫤

Plan A for today was to trim the pots I threw yesterday, but they weren't ready. Usually, I leave pots on wood to dry, but I left the ones I threw yesterday on a silicon mat. I was surprised at how not ready they were today. I underestimated what a little wood could do.
Since I had no pots to trim, I decided to get some clay reclaim chores done I had been putting off. First up was getting the b-mix into a pillowcase. I skipped that step for this batch because I was out of pillowcases. This morning, I cleaned and laid to dry my other pillowcase so it'd be ready this afternoon for the clay.
Part of me wanted to just leave it on the board and hope for the best. I'm glad I bit the bullet and scooped it into the pillowcase. You can see the moisture being squeezed out immediately. (09:00)
My other chore for the day was to spread my standard clay company 225 reclaim batch out to dry. There was a big difference in the condition of this batch, which had been in the pillow case for a few weeks compared to the b-mix batch I put straight on the board. This also helped reassure me I made the right call with the b-mix.
Today would have been a whole lot cooler if I had gotten to throw or trim something, but at least I got to touch some clay. That is definitely better than nothing.
