The V-Moda M headphones are amazing, M100s are highly recommended if you're willing to pay $300 but the M80s are also very very nice and cost half as much, but they are only on ears and wont cover the whole ear. And as far as I know people will steal anything so I'd try my best to keep it safe.
"The Solo’s response is a relatively narrow hump elevated 5dB roughly from 100Hz to 300Hz. The really meaty bass response most people want elevated is in the lowest two octaves between 20Hz and 80Hz. Here the Solo falls off dramatically to rather more normal levels. This is not a bass emphasis headphone, this is a murk emphasis headphone that sounds like being beaten to death inside a cardboard box. The Solo is roughly 10dB down relative to the other cans above 6kHz."
CiaranVanDon The ATH WS55 is a good alternative for the LP2, but not for the M-80s or M-100s. They sound ok, but the $72 price tag for the WS55 has a reason: the build quality. The sound is even (matched with the M-100s), but no way can these headphone withstand multiple drops. Your opinion about plastic looking better than metal is not shared by everyone (especially the majority of people), but plastic is definitely not as durable as aircraft grade metal.
Ah, I'm terribly sorry for the confusion there. Before 2009, the Studios were just referred to as the Beats, so I was implying that the Studios were not bad. However, Solos are absolutely terrible, and this is quite a given fact when you compare the interval statistical data of frequency vs amptitude response with other headphones. No way is it HD quality.
The crossfade lp is good but the crossfade lp2 is better (I have it) I think it is a very good headphone. (I am not a audiophile or anything but I think the highs, mids and lows are very good) I saw that the sound signature is close to the sound signature of the beats pro. (but I don't remember the site) definitely worth checking out!
Hey @hifiguy528 I'm buying a pair of beats but i can decide on which one. I don't want to get the pros because their pretty expensive, anything out of these would be good (solo hd, wireless, or mixrs).
Why you guys complaining so much about beats if you don't like them don't comment simple as that , some people on here Actually like beats so stop hating
i do not like beats but this video shows how bad of production they do on there stuff ... good vid tho found it really interesting keep it up you do the best stuff!!! :D
TBH I was just enjoying that he was feeding the trolls, i know that beats are overpriced as shit. And i agree that the pro's are the only decent, even these are overpriced. But i just really LOVE the way how they look. And.. If they even have more bass, then well.. You can't really enjoy the rest of the music. I'm getting the pro detox soon (swapping my pro for it), and when i'm sick of these i'll swap them for a nice sennheiser or audio technica. By the way got any suggestions -400 bucks?
you need to look like a car speaker if you put it on your system without a amp it will be flat sound and nothing specials. if you place a amp (what studios has) they need power to run your speakers. and amps has a EQ this will change your music quality and stuff like. studios have a mini amp and a mini soundcard its boost the speakers and crank good quality without distortion.
It's so stupid. My sister gave me the exact battery-powered headphones, and I have NO IDEA that headphones can come with batteries for studio use. I've spent a lot of money for the batteries, but I stopped using it. Such a waste of money. But overall it was sooooo gooood when playing music. It can output 10khz
Any of you guys know how to fix that switch on 2:01 mine moves from left to right without turning on the headphones. Need some help guys. Thanks in advance
Trust me, any V-Moda product is significantly better than Beats. But in comparison with each other, this is how I'd rank the V-Moda line: 1. M-100 2. M-80 3. LP2 4. LP. Remember the M-80 is actually ON ears, and they do not cover your entire ear. If you hate that, consider the LP2 or M-100. It all depends on your price range. And with those cans, you can literally carve your name on them so people know its yours.
Parrot Zik are way better, ive had both and for $400 instead of $300, your getting bluetooth, rechargeable battery and my favorite, a touch panel to pause/play volume and next or previous track
1 mixr cons small cups and soo tight 2 wireless cons breaks more easy than the solo HD 3solo HD are a good pair of real bass for 200 dollers? no to expensive for the quality if you have the money buy the pros it's my favorite pair
its funny cause ive tried sol republics and guess what they sound great too and ive tried som weird audio technicas and ill still choose beats over them beats are unique with sound , the active or passive noice cancellation , great bass in my opinion with some eq adjustments and amazing highs with good mids perfect i have no problem with em and no you dont pay for the look you pas for the name, advertisement etc
You may want to expand your search for headphones to those other than just beats. You could get some better quality headphones for less/same price as you would for beats.
Lastly, I think your sensitivity makes you believe I'm truculent and pompous. While you did use the word truculent wrong in this context, I can see what you were trying to say. First, I never meant to offend you (your first comment was that the ATH WS55 were better than V-Moda. My response was a simple yeah, but there are benefits for the V-Moda). Why you continued to find my comments offensive, I do not know. You stated I "sounded pompous," but can that really be portrayed through text?
Can someone help me whenever I charge my beats it says it's fully charged but whenever I take it off it immediately goes to the red Varnas won turn off I legit bought these like a month ago please help
I can already deduct your reasoning. You will comment: You just stated below that "The majority of people are being brainwashed to believe Beats headphones are amazing." Make up your mind! My response would be this: There is no a fortiori in conduct with Beats being not amazing and Beats being bad. They are NOT amazing. But they are, themselves, not BAD. This is not irony, satire, or a contradiction.
I don't think I'd even accept one of these headphones for free. If you have to put an EQ amp inside a pair of headphones to make them sound acceptable, that's your clue right there that they suck. Headphones or (speakers for that matter) should sound good without doctoring the sound going to the drivers.
You've failed to realize the original point of my comment. A person asked which V-Moda headphones were better, so I responded, and you belligerently attacked with nonsensical responses about letting "people make up their own mind." No way am I forcing V-Moda products. The fact that you've stated I'm the "someone who can't be reasoned with" shows your ineptness in reasoning. Lastly, Beats themselves are not bad. But for the price, they are quite ridiculous, and there are much better alternatives.
CiaranVanDon, your argument is full of fallacies. I will agree plastic is more popular, but that certainly doesn't support your argument, especially when you listed Diesel Monster Vektr headphones and Beats headphones as prime examples of plastic paragons. However, you cannot prove that V-Moda uses "underground marketing schemes." Also, popularity is not correlated with build quality. I think you're neglecting the fact that the V-Moda is ALSO plastic.
I purchased beats studio's and I was very disappointed , there's slot of hype around them nut the noise cancelling is garbage and gives a buzz if the volume is to low. you also cannot play your music loudly without everyone hearing exactly what your listening to the studio's are speakers for your neck. I wouldn't recommend them as a first choice. I would advise Bose qc 15 instead of beats.
i've had 2 pairs of beats, got Beyerdynamics and tried other headphones that are 150 cheaper, guess what? the Beats don't stand a chance. pitiful headphones that cost 3 times what they should. buy them if you want, but the reality is that all you're paying for is the look, not the sound.
I have to admit they do look nice but never was i paying retail for these. If you know your headphones you could get a great deal off eBay. Just make sure they aren't selling you fakes. They still aren't at par with other headphones in its price range.
HD201's are cheap budget headphones, of course they sound bad for only $20. I used to own beats studio. I know what they sound like. I wasn't satisfied with the terrible highs/mids that are drowned out by the rumbly bass (not good bass). The bass is also rumbly/muddy, giving you the illusion that you you have more bass than you really do. I own Audio-Technica PRO700MK2 (Pro 700 mark II) headphones and I must say, they have more/better bass than beats with crisp highs. I'm glad I sold my beats.
i have beats im not ignorant and yea there over priced so what like nothing else is over priced beats are unique headphones if u dont like em thats fine but thats no reason to call people u dont even no ignorant and hes not gunna listen to ur 1 coment remember its the "ignorant kids" watching this
Why in the blue SMURF would anyone pay $200-300+ for some Beat By Dre headphones if they need batteries. You know why because there's a conspiracy behind batteries and making more money off of anything. Got Dang Dre, WTF
That is not evidence... And how can you prove build quality is subjective when multiple tests have been conducted with interval results? You also fail to understand the context of popular you and I are talking about. One, you said popular as in production. I said popular as in consumer acceptability (and not in production, but in build quality).
its sucks that apple wont do this in freaking 2020/2021 it sucks so much apple needs to make them again an old design in a new jacket (apple do this cuz the new models sucks) 2012!!! make them again cuz the 2015 looks so ugly!!!
Word to the wise, if you ever want to by BBDre Headphones and that shot says it needs batteries tell the manufacturer to Fix Their Sh!t ((I got one of those headphones as a gift and the batteries die every 3-4 weeks. It ain't worth it.
This is why Beat Studio suck. The sound is really determined by the internal IC and built in equalizer. Just by disconnecting the IC and using it in passive mode shows how crappy the performance really is on the driver. Let me sum up, Beats Studios use cheap drivers, cheap plastic housing, cheap research and development (hence sound leakage) and the only component that cost some money is the crappy noise canceling (not effective at all) and internal IC
@@wjejwjje9493 because the wiring & technology behind the noise cancellation makes it only work w batteries. Fakes look the same, maybe even sound close; but are electrically engineered & manufactured different. (Giving away their not original Beats)
Why would you want to pay for a name and advertisement. Last time I checked, I try to spend money on quality goods that represent good value for money. I don't give a crap who Dre is or how many celebrities some parasitic corporation roped in to sell them to unsuspecting impressionable teens, and I'm sure as hell not gonna pay for that kinda bullshit.
4:42 ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW FROM THIS VIDEO.
iCTechReviews TRUE
why not soldering a usb cable to the battery cables ??????
BUT BOI WE NEED TO KNOW HOW DID YOU MODIFY THAT ONE BEATS?

I would really like to see you do this for the new v2 studios.

My studio not turning on. I replaced the battery also. When turn on not light on power button. Do u have any idea why is that ??

Can it be used wireless with the battery with out the wire
the real question is... can this be done with the studio 2/studio 2 wireless?!?
you make me weep for humanity.
also there is a button on your keyboard titled "Caps Lock" try pressing it.
because i like hifiguy and was wondering whether these headphones can be reanimated.
Hey @hifiguy528 I'm buying a pair of beats but i can decide on which one. I don't want to get the pros because their pretty expensive, anything out of these would be good (solo hd, wireless, or mixrs).
Can they do this to the executives too?
(HELP NEEDED) hi mike can i do this with any headphone that requires batteries to work like my qc15 or mdrnc 500?
So, if something isnt good, you shouldn't warn others?
Why you guys complaining so much about beats if you don't like them don't comment simple as that , some people on here Actually like beats so stop hating
Hey mike what case are you rockin' on your iPod classic? Cheers :)
Mod link?
We're i can have one?
Executive without batteries??
Best headphones money can buy..
Do these still work with batteries
All u have to do is hold down the middle of the control talk button and then it should sail right on
i do not like beats but this video shows how bad of production they do on there stuff ... good vid tho found it really interesting keep it up you do the best stuff!!! :D
Drew just stole your beats and sent you a fake pair.
Am i not right?
What motive would drew possibly have to do that?
I actually purchased Solo HD to avoid the Studio Beats battery change
How do you charge them
hey bro I will buy some beats and let me know which is better wireless or Mixr?
I'm surprised Drew Baird even dared to touch a pair of Beats 0_0
