Absolutely STUNNING drumkit!! Geez, I need to get my hands on one of these someday! I mean, I'm still impressed by just the TD-9! Roland makes the absolute best percussion stuff.
Now is the time to go find this kit. With the new TD-50KV out now you can find the 30KV in an affordable range. Many shops want to get the demos of the floor too. The 30KV is amazing and well worth the money!
I bought a TD 20 and the damn thing is pretty amazing. Trouble is, after spending $5000 in the kit and module, I didn't have speakers worthy of it. That cost another $2500. And even after spending all that money, I prefer my acoustic kit.
No... I'm sorry to inform you. You do NOT need $2500 speakers to pull any decent level of potential out of a TD-20, which, just as this kit does, uses computer algorithms to express digital sounds. A snake-oil salesman lied to you if you think you need $2500 to blast single-source emulated acoustic audio from a mid-range drum module. Hopefully you are talking about additional audio equipment for other uses.
I bought a roland td 25kv and I went from an acoustic to electric. When I had my Acoustic kit, I hat 2 hi hats (my main one, and a permanently closed one that i could play while rocking the double bass) So i bought a second hi hat for my roland kit, but I cant have the second hit hat closed pertinently. It mimics the main hi hat. I asked Roland directly and they told me I cant have 2 hi hats with 1 closed and the other open, (i also asked them the same question im asking you, but no reply) Can I have a second closed hi hat with the roland 30 and or the roland 50? or do you know if i can use the TM-2 to fix my problem? If you know please respond. Thanks
Not sure if your still on here but am curious if you can help me with the direct outs? Similar to my strike pro, when using direct out, seems all effects, eq, ambience and compression are gone, just the dry signal. I know most sound engineers in the clubs I play at don't have the time or interest in dialing these sounds in so feel like I need to send the LR to the FOH. Is this correct and is there a work around? In my experience, some of the ambience and compression cant be reproduced in a club mixing board? Figured, I could always send the LR of the full mix too and they could add some kick snare or toms etc but not pull sounds out?
Nice bit of kit played this a while ago so natural stunning sounds, if people like mr N Peart use it it's gotta be good simple as that enough of the amature negative comments
Oh god, corporate people like this guy make my skin crawl... lol... So condescending and full of it lol.... It's like listening to a used car salesman. Trying very hard to be charming and just coming off as a douchebag. lol But the drums do sound great.
Thanks - I know. I was using slang "dial up" offhandedly to mean actual physical size... more stage presence of seeing larger drums. The small pads don't have much presence. Sorry about the confusion.
Sam Robinson So one of these kits costs $20-30,000? Unless it’s a used car with 200,000+ miles on it and fading paint and banged up. I’m thinking in the $5-6,000 range. A little disciplined saving or a few thousand down and finance the rest with a reasonable payment for a few years. I’ve saved for one but don’t know which one I want yet. Don’t want more than I can handle or need. Happy drumming!!
Greetings! Maybe I'm wrong, but with the original settings in the module (td30) my pad pdx 100 sounds much poorer than when I expose him for setting pd125. Also, with the toms and the bass drum. Little marketing tricks. Roland Bravo!
Im stil undecided how much this behavior modelling really matters... when it comes right down to it... when I trigger my BFD samples which are unbelievably realistic... I dont seem to miss the complex behavioral modeling.
Menashe300 True that. I spent about $5000 on a TD 20 kit and I still didn't have an amp. I had to spend another $2500 on a mixer, amp and speakers to drive it.
i use one of these for home practice www.ebay.com/itm/Technics-EH-750-HiFi-Stereo-Tuner-Amplifier-Sound-Processor-5-CD-Tape-Deck-/171828358753?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2801c4ae61
Supernatural drums are in the FA keyboards, among a thousand other sounds: £700 Supernatural drums in a v-kit: £5000 Honest question, What gives? is a metal frame and pads that expensive to make?
YES! this kit awesome but for 6 grand you could buy a brilliant Acoustic kit with top of the range cymbals... AND an SPD-SX for your triggering delight!
and for 4k more, you could have an infinite number of kits that you can create any time you want right at your fingertips, I know personally I'll never need another drumkit as long as I live, simply because I can get any sound I want on a whim.
this guy is ...great drummer...great salesman.. just wish his selling technique was a little less forward and traditional. I'm sure the company loves this dude!
the most natural in this set is the cost of 3.500-4.000euro's to buy it and naturally one set in this price must respect the customer and put the best results in to it!!!
modules suck shit... it's all about laptop + alesis I/O trigger module + presonus firebox + your E kit or E heads on acoustic kit, or just to your triggers on an acoustic kit to get some amazing live triggered sounds if you are into that shit... metal drummers use it for dual kicks a lot for live shows
Superior Drummer 2 sounds a lot better than the on-board Roland sounds still. The snare sounds very artificial. The chokes on the cymbals sound a bit off too. The toms usually sound okay. I'd still love to own one of these for the hardware, but I'd use Superior Drummer for the sound library.
This sounds really great and has a lot of needed features. The only problem I see is that I could set up a real drumset, install a booth, and get decent mics set up, and get real drum sound, with infinite sound options, for less money.
***** Because you're not limited to whatever samples someone else made. you could get a snare sound that just sounds like slapping a wet piece of paper if you wanted, but with samples you'd have to compromise and make something else sound like a wet piece of paper. Then you'd have to get the rights.
Scott Murphy - They’re best for home recording, practice, apartments, churches, small stage venues. Some people would never get to play without a silent option.
lady in front is like "sweet! but I came in for a pan flute and have 60 dollars"
Absolutely STUNNING drumkit!! Geez, I need to get my hands on one of these someday! I mean, I'm still impressed by just the TD-9! Roland makes the absolute best percussion stuff.
When it's not 7500 fuckin dollars i might think about buying it
+T Haraksin AMEN!
Way to go!!
+T Haraksin I'd rather blow that money on a badass acoustic kit.
+T Haraksin
Try living in Canada, where it's $9500 for the TD-30 KV Pro...
+T Haraksin .... i saw this kit in a drum shop in melbourne for like 4600 dollars
Now is the time to go find this kit. With the new TD-50KV out now you can find the 30KV in an affordable range. Many shops want to get the demos of the floor too. The 30KV is amazing and well worth the money!
i will have this set soon i have been playing tama drums for ever and i still love them
I just bought one of these. Waiting for it to come in. I can absolutely NOT wait.
This dude is a really good drummer!
Awesome. Will be getting one ASAP! Hope Guitar Center has one in stock!
Wow, rim shots too 😳
I'm sold !
Excellent sensitivity
My cousin just purchased the TD 30 KV Pro series, and rather than stop playing he's being fed intravenously
very good!

Just noticed this is dated 2012. And I see they now offer a TD-50KV. I guess that would be the one to get then?
TH-cam compression doesn't give this kit justice. It still doesn't sound as good as an acoustic kit but its a lot better than this video suggests.
Not sure if your still on here but am curious if you can help me with the direct outs? Like the camera shake during the extended drum bits. It almost heightens the experience. ;-)
I wonder if this guy sells knife sharpeners?
Man, this is awesome. I'd love to buy it. If it wasn't $2,000 MORE THAN MY CURRENT CAR!!
Damnn thats real magic
I think this guy also worked for Yamaha.
I've seen him advertising the DTX760HWK.
looks amazing
Great explanation!
Apart of this, can i import kits or presets from the Ezdrummer 2 or Addictive Drums 2 into de roland TD30 module? Thanks again!
Nice bit of kit played this a while ago so natural stunning sounds, if people like mr N Peart use it it's gotta be good simple as that enough of the amature negative comments

But the drums do sound great.
Well, when you're trying to hock a $7,000 product to the masses...
and makes your annual income look like a joke
If they could just dial up the shell sizes and cymbal diameters to give more stage presence I think this would be unbeatable.
Dan Mowry You can dial up the shell sizes and cymbal diameters. The Td 30 module is amazing.
Thanks - I know. I was using slang "dial up" offhandedly to mean actual physical size... more stage presence of seeing larger drums. The small pads don't have much presence. Sorry about the confusion.
And don't forget three way triggering on ALL cymbals, cymbal muting, and layering
I'd love to have one, but unfortunately one of these kits is worth more than my current car lol.
Sam Robinson So one of these kits costs $20-30,000? Unless it’s a used car with 200,000+ miles on it and fading paint and banged up.

If only we could combine the sounds of this module with the features of the VAD506 kit and module,
Unfortunately the tri pod was on the stage for this one, Walked away before he started playing when it vibrates the stage. =/
wow the snare sounds quite damn natural
What about SMOOTH SOUND TRANSITION........Will the ringing of a Crash cut when you select a different kit ?
Yeah i'd like some info about that as well !
Every technology has its ups and downs. What's the boot up time on Addictive?
What you can use brushes!?!?!?
I love this...a revelation
Im stil undecided how much this behavior modelling really matters... when it comes right down to it... when I trigger my BFD samples which are unbelievably realistic... I dont seem to miss the complex behavioral modeling.
I LOVE IT !!!
if i add just the module to a old td12 kit???
Annoying salesman...Awesome drum kit !!!
This guy should be at all daycares!
WOW i want one!!!
Hey man what does your profile picture mean i seen alot of the lately?
I have it but it is very difficult to find the appropriate speaker! I have it for 3 month and I still using the headphone!
Menashe300 True that. I spent about $5000 on a TD 20 kit and I still didn't have an amp. I had to spend another $2500 on a mixer, amp and speakers to drive it.
azimuth361 any decent hi-fi will do
john robinson
Not for rehearsing or on stage.
azimuth361 you can rent for on stage of course
i use one of these for home practice www.ebay.com/itm/Technics-EH-750-HiFi-Stereo-Tuner-Amplifier-Sound-Processor-5-CD-Tape-Deck-/171828358753?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2801c4ae61
So smart.drums works.fun.with smile.
how is this model compared to the Yamaha DTX790K? Yamaha is like half the price, why the discrepancy?
gosh, wish i had one
Supernatural drums are in the FA keyboards, among a thousand other sounds: £700
Supernatural drums in a v-kit: £5000
Honest question, What gives? is a metal frame and pads that expensive to make?
pads are expensive
asombroso
In Denmark they cost 52,800,00 kr. (Wich is 8000 dollars)
And i am from Denmark and i want Them so much. Is it cheaper in other contries?
No, I'm from Denmark. I have the TD-15 Drum kit. The TD-30 cost 60,000. :)
60,000kr. TD-15 Cost 19,000kr.
The tom's still sound synthesized to me. I wouldn't pay that price for something that's not perfect.
saludos desde Ecuador
i don't care for this guys delivery . Johnny Rabb is your best man for this .
I currently own this kit and it really is the best there is better than the new td50 which only has 400 sounds as the 30 has 1190
The bass is so powerful its shaking the camera;)
YES! this kit awesome but for 6 grand you could buy a brilliant Acoustic kit with top of the range cymbals... AND an SPD-SX for your triggering delight!
and for 4k more, you could have an infinite number of kits that you can create any time you want right at your fingertips, I know personally I'll never need another drumkit as long as I live, simply because I can get any sound I want on a whim.
how much?
Will ferrel playing drums
Agreed!
this guy is ...great drummer...great salesman.. just wish his selling technique was a little less forward and traditional. I'm sure the company loves this dude!
My dream kit..... But waaaaaay too expensive
Steve...not everyone in the room is a kid!! You sound like your teaching 2nd Grade..
For real..
why is will ferrell doing a roland demo?
the most natural in this set is the cost of 3.500-4.000euro's to buy it and naturally one set in this price must respect the customer and put the best results in to it!!!
OMG, that camera work is really annoying! Everytime he uses the kickdrum the images shake!
Sound Kit at 12:22 ?! D;
His jokes... Lmao wtf
He's trying SO hard to sell this.
That's kinda his job?
i like how the camera shakes when stever kicks the bass drum lol
MUITO REAL!
He had me at the brushes.
6,000 $,,,? Come on guys,,,
I like how hard he's trying to be funny and the audience does not laugh 😂
Well, sometimes when I play Aces High, I'm all like: Bullseyebullseyebullseyebullseyebullseyebullseyebullseyebullseyebullseye
how much are these? in the united states
I want....... Wish wasn't so expensive but still...I want....must have
I've seen them for $ 4,500.00 Not bad price if you ask me. And for real musician, not out of reach.
modules suck shit... it's all about laptop + alesis I/O trigger module + presonus firebox + your E kit or E heads on acoustic kit, or just to your triggers on an acoustic kit to get some amazing live triggered sounds if you are into that shit... metal drummers use it for dual kicks a lot for live shows
I wish every drumming video I watched made the entire screen shake every time the kick was used
Ok thanks

oh so the are using magic..
I MUST HAVE IT ASDFGHJKL
I would buy it if I had the money but for like 10289,17 USD in Denmark its very expensive.
The toms sound amazing compared to the TD-20 though
This sounds really great and has a lot of needed features. The only problem I see is that I could set up a real drumset, install a booth, and get decent mics set up, and get real drum sound, with infinite sound options, for less money.

sounds like the td11
I'm not lying - I have a website store on my pcwhere I can buy them for that much - and I'm pretty sure I will. BTW, they're brand new.
Yeah I noticed the sound quality was a bit disappointing, if not lessrealistic than the TD-20's.
The thing is, if electronic drums are so fantastic, how come you essentially NEVER see them played by touring pros?
Scott Murphy - They’re best for home recording, practice, apartments, churches, small stage venues. Some people would never get to play without a silent option.
he's now with yamaha
why can e drums use at least ezdrummer or superior drum sound. e drums always fail at the toms
I will be taking donations for this kit if you would like to contribute by means of paypal lol
this guy knows how to sell
Cornball presentation but a great player
If you ain't first..... you're last.
The best you can buy if you can afford it
No matter how hard other companies try, NOTHING beats VST's like Addictive Drums, etc.
Mickehd00d look up the TD50K bruh, it sounds pretty fucking good.
What a funny guy! =D This a good seller.
Your own electronic kit, with this kind of response, for under $1K!? Do tell.
