To each their own I say. I absolutely love the GM head's design. Sure there are GMs with more fancy heads like the GM Kai, GM Custom, GM Sniper II, etc. but there's something I like about the simpleness of the original GM. ...Or the GM Cannon in this case!
I think you nailed it when you kinda said this design would look cool, but off if it had a lot of detail. I"m generally a fan of the detailed kit, but I also have a soft spot for these tube kits for some reason. They actually contrast pretty well in a display, too.
the RX-78 2.0 inner frame was designed so that you could have the torso and waist together without the core fighter/block inside and as a result of not having it in the torso you'd get more waist articulation.
It may look retro at the outside (in a good way), but the real amazing part is the inner frame. I compared the GM 1.0 and the 2.0 (which this kit is based on) based on some images I found on the internet, the 1.0 have very cool outside, like a more modern look, panel line, details and all and in the end I decided to take the 2.0, solely because of the highly detailed inner frame (which is, based on the RX-78-2 2.0), and the retro look really suits the grunt unit role of the GM. I think I'm starting to become a GM lover, with already owning a GM Sniper and GM Ground Type, and soon will be getting the GM 2.0, GM Quel and the GM Sniper II.
If the GM Cannon had the power of the Ide, the Federation wouldn't need the Gundam lol. Also, I was thinking about getting the new version of this kit as my first P-Bandai kit, depending on how much it ends up being.
The entire time of this review, kept telling myself the "let me tell you why thats bullshit" GM cannon meme. Lel, I want to get this kit, nice review as always.
So I guess it would be advisable to glue the waist, then? I'm re-watching this review to get familiar with any potential issues before I decide to grab the North American Front Ver. for my birthday.
Oh, really? I do change poses often (fiddle around like an action figure), so I was curious as to how fragile it is with some average handling. If it's not that bad, I suppose I'll just leave it alone for the "gimmick" of the core block separation.
Yeah MINE IS LIKE THAT TO! The Torso and Waist just don't connect why is beyond me we all put it together right... I think if you push it down more nothing happens

I want to scratch build an ideon someday
Jon Yusko this pop out of my head since the first time Ive seen the Ideon
Jon Yusko eh theres a SOC ideon although it would take forever to scratchbuild something of that kind especially if tou want it to transform
love the colours. very nice kit
Man this thing looks fantastic out of the box... makes me want to get it lol.
I like the design, so sleek... :)
You wouldn't happen to have the 1/100 Gaelio's Schwalbe Graze in your backlog, would you?
no
Ideon in our community we call it the king of GM XD
Well, it designed by Okawara Kunio and the anime was directed by Tomino anyways~
how many died in those during Thunderbolt ?
I wish they made the head looked like the Origin manga version (it would look like the GM Kai).
Sushiyoda thats not the same design though that would be an origin version then
I meant standard GM head.
It’s a little thing, but it’s Jim, not G-M. I know it’s weird, but just a pet peeve of mine
The head may not be able to look down, but at least the angle possibilities of the head match the canon....
Ideon.
The legs remind me of the Guncannon.
The colors remind me of McDonald's
HG or even MG, why they always not included balzac 380mm bazooka...

you probably don't need to glue that unless you plan on changing pose often or posing it in a pretty extreme pose.

I guess the Bazooka plugs on the Shield holes rs
I love giant robots with bellbottoms.

Hopping for a HG
Hopping AND hoping for an HG as well! We need the White Dingo variant too!

You will like hg gun cannon
Super power technology
Space Runaway Ideon.
the fingers will get loose if you cut them and don't paint
then you might like gm new gm wd version from rise of ashes manga that came out
Hmmmm... Familiar indeed
how do u get that kit ? want to buy it too :'(
That's the hyper bazooka of the MG RX78-2 3.0 lol
The 3.0 uses the same bazooka of the 2.0
ガンブラ ジム
It looks like a McDonald's employee
Is this a p bandai
