THANK YOU!! Mine is not the same brand but this helped me so much! My instructions don’t say I have to press a lock button in order to get the blade clamp screw off. I wasn’t sure what I was missing but my 15 year old suggested I look for a video and here you were!💜💜💜

The saw blade retaining screw, incorporates a "Left Handed" thread .. so it indeed DOES, UN-screw clockwise! This feature is very common on circular saws as it eliminates the possibility the screw will unscrew "by itself" ... due to the rotational force of the blade.
