You beat me to it! It's kinda unfortunate that you can't do that in the final game, would've made for some interesting concepts (if the intended behavior was programmed in correctly).

I like how the "corner clip" glitch (2:30) is how we tried to find glitches when we were young, just by randomly mashing buttons and wait for something to happen

What if you glitch a 3D World power up into 2D, then put the glitched 3D power up onto Mario with the same multiplayer method?

It’s kind of sad How the shells were scrapped for p-balloon Mario, and you can tell it was scrapped right before the update came out.

I think the first two might be a scrapped idea that can be accessed through glitches, considering those graphics are not used anywhere else but are clearly not glitched graphics.
And the dry bones shell, because otherwise Mario would be damaged.

I found a way to amplify the block glitch. Do the glitch, and while it is still activated get Luigi to touch the coin in the pipe. You can then place whatever you want anywhere but there are side effects... the blocks you place will be invisible and you cannot lower or raise the end or start ground. Have fun!

0:15 Fun fact: the "P-Balloon shellmets" were originally going to officially appear in this game in the same manner as shown, but were scrapped for unknown reasons, hence why the graphics still look normal and not glitched. Looks like there was a developer oversight there instead...
I think the sprites for Shellmet Balloon Mario was a removed feature where he could... yeah.

I think the doubling koopa glitch (at 3:08) is just a side effect of death stopping the animation, as the koopa troopa isn't replaced with a shell on the same frame as the deshelled koopa troopa is created (likely done so that the detached shell doesn't kill the koopa on frame 1, as enemies colliding with moving shells will take damage).

played around with co op building some more and this is very broken. Lots of things can be stacked on each other, and entities can be placed when the game normally stops you (i.e when the red box/area appears where you’re trying to place, an invalid space)

the mere fact that there are unique sprites for shellmet + p-balloon, suggests that at one point in time they were thinking that you would be able to use both at the same time! my guess is that they found the combination to be "OP"

It looks like these were originally planned for the game, the lack of finished sprites show they were cut early but the fact they have specific sprites and not glitched sprites say they were going to be in the game

I feel like the balloon mario when he has the spiny shell and buzzy beetle shell was at some point going to be a feature but I guess time restrictions due Covid 19 made it unused.
Surely they were going to implement a shellmet on a p balloon then because it has a unique texture
