- A new policy proposal from the White House offers legal protections to some undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens. The plan would prevent them from facing deportation while making it easier for them to apply for work visas and permanent residency. CBS News immigration reporter Camilo Montoya-Galvez breaks down how the program would work.

You can’t become an US Citizen automatically by being married to a US Citizen That’s plain wrong. It’s a process. First you must be eligible to become a legal resident. And not only because you have been here decades and got 10kids wich is “bad” 😂means you have an automatic pass to be a naturalized American citizen. You must proof that you’re a law abiding citizen of the land. You must become a legal resident immigrant first and then if you’re a good resident you may apply for US Citizenship.
As long as he takes care of illegals and not Americans he's doing a great job. FJB

Americans go and marry some random person from a different country and those people become instant citizens without having any ties to the US. They go from non citizen to citizen is like 3 years, not educated here, not American. Meanwhile these people that Biden is helping are fully American, lived in here all their lives, educated here, they're business owners who employ other Americans, they pay their taxes, and worse of all they've been waiting to be American on paper all their lives. I am not talking about one-size-fits-all rules, but there are far more people who apply at U.S. embassies and consulate offices overseas, pay lawyers, wait until all paperwork is cleared, then finally enter our country. You can't jump the line.
