- Do you remember the Amanda Show? Do you remember Moody's Point? A fake tv show within a show that wanted to be a real show. Moody's Point was a weird look at a satirized teen drama that ended up filling up half of the later episode of the Amanda Show.

I remember being so annoyed that Moody's Point ended on that cliffhanger with the real Moody. Whenever it re-aired I thought maybe it would be a version that showed the truth but it never happened.
Same. I was mad af as a kid. Glad I wasn’t the only one waiting for the real moody back then.
My headcanon as a kid was something fittingly weird, like a llama or a sentient can of peas.
I was too young to watch it when it first aired. But when I caught reruns, I always thought I just missed the reveal episode.
Apparently that was gonna be a full length show but it didn’t happen which makes me mad and sad cuz it was so good

The most random backdoor pilot I've seen was an episode of That's so Raven where Alison Stoner takes over and the premise is about a teen celebrity dealing with fame and going to a regular high school.
It was a complete change for a That's so Raven episode and eventually was retooled and got turned into Hannah Montanna

I always thought the Amanda Show was brilliantly absurd and fell in love with all the skits/commercials. Especially Mr. Gullible, Blockblister and Crazy Courtney! Excellent work yet again Jordan! You apparently watched every show that I did growing up lol

I loved Moody's Point so much. I was a tiny bit too young for Dawson's Creek when it first came out, so I loved this knowing it was based on that. Just a few years later I started actually watching Dawson's Creek, and it had the same vibes. I wish this could have gotten a chance to be a real show. The only thing I love more than teen dramas is solid parodies of them.
Moody's point was my favorite part of the Amanda show. Knowing what I know now about Amanda and everything she went thru is heartbreaking

Moody’s Point as a full length show would basically be Strangers With Candy. Could’ve been very ahead of its time and I bet people would look back at it as innovative

I always disliked Moody's Point as a kid because it always made me depressed because I didn't realize it was a parody of teen dramas and I actually thought it was a drama 😂
The fact that it was different and more emotional is what made it interesting to watch
Oh my god I AGONIZED over this show as a kid. I loved it more than words could express, and I watched the show diligently waiting for the conclusion. Every time there would be a rerun with Moody's point, I would get so excited, only to find out it was just the same cliffhanger ending. I needed to know who the real Moody was!!!! I remember having a theory that it was Sternum.

Yep I HATED it when it first got introduced because it took up half the show and I found it boring compared to the sketches, but over time I grew to like it. It still should’ve been it’s own show though.

I view Moody's point as split into "2 seasons" with season 1 ending with Sternum and Moody's kiss and the 2nd season beginning the "toe story arc".

I feel like moody's point is the reason behind my specific phobia for losing my toes and I don't know why because I know I laughed a lot during the segment.

I loved the Amanda Show but was so, so young when that I didn't get the humor in Moody Point and I thought it was a serious boring regular show and I would turn the channel everytime.
Moody's Point really does work more in its original format. It makes me think about how it was honestly a good thing that a show like Police Squad was canceled after so little episodes. After I watched about 3 or 4 episodes, it started getting repetitive. Obvious parodies such as these can only go so long before it wears out

Moody's Point being made into a full show would probably have gone over as well as when they turned Action League Now! into a full show.

watching Twin Peaks as an adult, I often wondered if Sternum was a nod or reference to James Hurley, the moody brooding character. Sometimes I couldnt tell if James was also supposed to be satirical of teen dramas, Twin Peaks was funny in that way
