月日が経ち現在令和６年（2024年）和楽器バンドは10周年を迎え、そして年内で無期限活動休止との事…。いま改めて過去の楽曲を聴き直すもやっぱり素晴らしい。
バンドと和楽器の融合。いやー最高。これぞ自分の求めてた、これが日本のJ-POP！と誇れるバンド。考えや感性は人それぞれなのはわかってるけど、この人らの良さをみんなわかってほしいなーと切に思う。
洋だけとか和だけじゃなくて両方合わさってるのも魅力の１つですよね

I know who SMAP and Arashi are. I actually do like Arashi. They have good music. As for the traditional instruments used in here, I think it's mostly the koto and shakuhachi? Anyways, I would love for Wagakki Band to be in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. I'm going to be in Tokyo in 2020. Can't wait.

Wagakki Band, for me, would be the most representative of the Japanese music so let them be in the Tokyo Olympics 2020! Their music incorporate both traditional and modern music of Japan, it's hard to describe it, but you can feel the spirit of Japan through their music.
I read some time ago that they were asked for the olympics in Tokyo.

Dude, any Japanese song can be an anime opening. There are a lot of anime openings that weren't even specifically made for an anime but were chosen by the director and then got they got the rights to it. Anime theme songs are also from every genre of japanese music. I get what you mean, but honestly you could say any japanese song sounds like an anime opening.

Kind of reminds me in Eluveitie how they play metal with traditional instruments of their old culture. Old Celtic metal singing in the dead Gaulish Language? Now J-rock using traditional flutes drums and even a friggin' shamisen? More please.
That's called Folk metal. One of my favorite subgenres because of how it can sound so drastically different depending on where it comes from. Tennger Calvary is another example of Folk metal. Mongolian folk metal! Metal + Erhu = Yes please!

The drumming on this song is other worldly. Everyone else is fantastic as always, but those drum fills take me to a magical place.
