Thank you for this video. 👌 it saved me 350+ Euro from the official Mazda service (4 hours labor with nuts blast - the EGR Cooler isn't included). So i removed all the parts in 5 hours because I lack some tools. I cleaned everything in around 5 hours. Tip, the best spray cleaner is the one for wood stove carbon cleaner! The Egr Cooler needs a day to soake in a degrease/ anti carbon liquid for best results. Then around 5 hours to mount it back. If you have time, please add the torque specs in the video, it was difficult to find them. What I found out that the intake was not having too much carbon build up after 40k km from the last cleaning, but the Egr cooler was not letting the air flow very well. As well as throttle body was having a lot of carbon and oil mixed up. I suspect that the turbo is leaking oil that cause then the frequent regeneration (every 50-60 km). The engine now has 180k km.
Thanks Mr Nice Guy. Great video. I had the warning for a while on my mazda 6 2.2 and finally decided to try this out. Easy to follow and it took ages to clean. Mine was worse than the ones in video and the exhaust ports on cylinder block were really bad as I could barely see the valve rods. Only cleaned all the parts about 80% as I plan to sell soon. Scary point after putting back together as it took six yimes before the engine finally rumbled back to life. Took gor a drive and its morr responsive and fuel economy seems higher and no more butning smell from exhaust after. Thanks for the great video.
Great video and did a successful diy job from watchingyour videos. Lots of fresh oil in my intake pipes. Unfortunately this is still happening. Dripping oil on my drive. Comes from the plastic pipe close to the battery tray. Drips of oil from rubber pipe connection comingout. Any ideas?

Hey, thanks for this great video. I did the job on my mazda 6 without any issues, however recently did it on my friends car, and when put everything together, it wouldn't start. Feels like fuel isnt delivered to injectors. Any idea what we did wrong?
Many thanks for this excellent video. I'm thinking to tackle this job myself. Do you have a list of replacement gaskets required please? Preferably with Mazda part numbers. I also intend to 3D print a intake port adapter to use on my vacuum with a standard shot blaster. So could you also confirm the size of the intake ports please?
Thanks a lot my brother I just did everything you showed in this video to my car as my map sensor was broken. Can you do a video on DpF cleaning when the time come ?
Hi, the intake piping plastic tab shown at 21:13 on video. On my vehicle there plastic is cracked, making it very difficult to remove. Can i remove it from the metal hose clamps?.

Hi, is there a way to check if the intake manifold needs a cleaning procedure without disassembling? I've checked the throttle body on mine and it's clean. Is there a relation between them.. i mean if the throttle body is fine the intake manifold should also be good or thats not correct?
Yes, exactly, 2.2 175hp. I was in a repair shop and the technician there inserted a stick with a mirror and we saw that the throttle was clean.@@MrNiceGuy94
@@elkopanare7732 send me a message please on facebook. Same username and profile pic as here. I don't think that was the throttle body. As it is underneath the intake manifold and the intercooler pipe is connected to it.

Did this job on my CX5 last year, a bitch of a job. A word of warning! when removing the plastic clamp on the air intake pipe to the manifold, be very careful. The plastic clip is brittle and breaks easily. Mazda only sells it as a complete unit for over £500. I managed to get one from a scrap dealer but still had to pay £120. Hi,
do you know the torque for the 12 bolts of intake manifold?
The intake manifold on the 2.2 Skyactiv Diesel has only 8 bolts, and the torque specs for them are 20-25 NM.
So make sure you have the same model.
That means all of them first 20nm and then 25 nm?or is that a Torque range?
