Ah, just as in their daily lives, we see Luigi working equally hard and pulling his weight, only to have Mario wind up with more credit in the end. Of course Mario DOES do a great job, but still. Well-structured TAS in that regard.
It was hilarious to me. It was when I first listened and watched the Super Mario brother's supershow episode. It's where the ape calls him MARZAN. Mario first went berserk when he had his memory first erased.
That's the fun of TAS, to discover new things in old games. I don't know if this trick is possible in real life, it requires precise timing. Only a good player like you could maybe try it out to see if this is just a TAS trick. I see from the videos on you channel that you did some fun things with this game too. Good job and thanks for your comments.
@@Prog61 The craziest thing we did in partners is Ultimate Hardest No POW Doubles. It involves playing a 2 player game on the hardest settings and we eliminate the POW as soon as it shows up or during the bonus stage. Our goal was to break 1 Million and It was the hardest thing we ever achieved. I have the video link on my youtube or I can paste it here if you like. BTW, the more I think about it, it would be super cool to see you create a TAS Ultimate Hardest No POW Doubles. Trust me, that is such a challenge and would be so cool to see you make it look easy.
I saw some of the videos on your channel, good job. For a TAS of Mario on the hardest setting I think it would be fun to watch, I will put this on my list.
@@Prog61 I'm going to post my video link on your post, if you don't mind? It's just so you get the correct variation / name and see how we eliminate the POW. th-cam.com/video/wRugQ1rykv0/w-d-xo.html
every time i remember searching for the arcade mario bros the results are the vs.super mario bros like mama mia mario bros and super mario bros are 2 completely different games
Mario Bros. Special is the true sequel, along with the spinoff Punch Ball Mario Bros. It ended with Mario Clash on the Virtual Boy. Only the first game had an arcade version. Super Mario Bros. is a separate series unto itself, not a sequel.
TAS is for Tool-Assisted Speedrun (or superplay) More info here: www.youtube.com/@Prog61/about and here: tasvideos.org With a TAS editor, you can modify the player's movement for each frame. A video like this takes about a week of work.
It's amazing how efficient their play is. A great deal of the time they're waiting patiently. And they frequently don't immediately take out enemies even though they could. You say the goal was to have fun. Were you thinking about the score or speed at all?
This is the only TAS of Mario Bros. on the arcade. I'd love to see more.

This TAS is so fun to watch. Good job!

Nice combination with the two bros.
I a big fan of the super mario bros i can't wait to see the movie next yaer
Love how TASers play in every way possible and push games to their limits the furthest possible 😋👏

Wow, I love it. 😀👍
Such carefully controlled chaos!
Loads of fun, and very inventive.
Thanks! 😃

2:37 Thought I've seen everything there is to see in this game but I've never seen a guy go through the platform.

The original version
Damn, nice teamwork there
👍🏻💕
Man, people are talking about TAS as if they are one really good gamer.
That's blatantly false.
TAS is _obviously_ a family of really good gamers!
one of my favorite arcade games...
Very good! And that bug you discovered (heh) is interesting! (When you punch a bro through the floor, and to the upper level).
Teamwork at its finest. 👏😌

EARLY!! I only ever played competitive against each other in Allstars, when they had it as a separate game
I only learned about this game while play MB3 and we use to try and kill each other to see who was king lol.
This TAS is adorable
This is art.
I love original
Holy crap this is so good
Very good
That's why it's called Teamwork...
The first Luigi game
Not the first. Game and watch came first

I have been wondering all my childhood and still do now. What is TAS and how does it work? I love watching them.
TAS is for Tool-Assisted Speedrun (or superplay)

Pinche juego retro, me encantó 😊😊
Mario Bros tem um Luigi pela Primeira vez
Luigi e Mario atacando os Koopas e Caranguejos e Mosquitos na Sua Frente.

It belongs in the TAS category referred to as "Playaround."
It is optimized gameplay, just not for speed or score.
did the turtles on the nes jump out of the shells to flip them?
Yes they do.
🐢
Damn! How do you read them so hard! XD
this game was impossible for me on the nes 1 player.
Great version better than the Atari 2600 version
Her: he's probably out cheating on me.. 😔

The Original
The best ever 💚❤️👍🏻

What was the sound chip on these old machines?
I believe Mario Bros. machines use the same sound chip as the NES does. I know Donkey Kong 3 does.
1983?
Can you get a second extra man?
Is it really two players or one player controlling two?
This is a TAS, I edited the move of the players for every frames manually. More info here: www.youtube.com/@Prog61/about

1983 it's original

prog61 who are you playing with ?
Ali Danial
I hate when people refer to Super Mario Bros. as simply Mario Bros. 😖
But the arcade is mario bros,Dumb
Super mario bros is the game from famicom nes
First name super last name Mario?
I don't care about you 😂
Astounding... Not one person who replied understood what TF I said. 🤔
The sound effects are so annoying. They're either scritchy or muffled.
It was a low-bitrate monoarual sound. It wasn't uncommon at the time.
