Any advice for tryouts
I’m going to tryout this year, although I have no actual club experience but me and my friend are going try, I’ve been practicing lots and hope to make libero. Thanks for all of your inspiring videos Koko! They’ve really helped me!

Thank you koko, throughout the last months i have been watching your videos to help me with volleyball since i am new to it. I've been practicing beforehand to get better with my skills in order to tryout for the highschool team as a freshman! My tryouts are in an hour so I feel nervous but excited!

I remember being part of a volleyball club. I was little more experience than others and I know how to Serve and pass but there were these girls who never came to practice but got to play the whole game while I was out and we never won any games 💀

I played volleyball. This one girl missed our championship for basketball practice. (She wasn’t that good though.) We won the entire season. Didn’t lose a game so I’m pretty proud.
Can someone tell me the difference between PE and athletics? I’ve never played volleyball and I don’t know the rules should I even attempt to join?🥲
Just study and have fun! Coaches are there to teach you, as long as you study and show good sportsmanship I’m sure you’ll get on the team ☺️

Well I guess Haikyuu doesn't really follow the rules that much. Mostly the GPA part.
I’ve always wanted to do volleyball but ion think ima make it, my gpa is 1.75
My friend wanted to be on the team but missed every single game and practice..
She got kicked off the team
we had this one girl, first off she doesnt even know how to play properly. shes super rude, yells and screams and just stands in the corner while playing. super annoying
I'm trying out this year and hope I make it as a spiker I have not had any club experience but I have practiced a lot and played a few games with my friends also one of my friends used to play volleyball so she will teach me 🏐

Low gpa is actually why one kid in my class got kicked off of the football team. He’s trying to make sports his life, but he isn’t really that good
As a JV volleyball player myself, most of this that I know of is VERY TRUE

I have really low GPA's i struggled alot in school so i went on primary school and do sports :>
How this definitely my sign to play. I’ve been debating if I want to play next season
I could have been kicked back when I was a freshmen but I was one of the major point scorer for the team. I missed quite a few practice games because of my priorities, my brother to be exact. My mom was a single mom who works tirelessly so I have to skip practices a lot to take care of my brother. Because of those I would practice all night long on my room sometimes just to keep up with the training I missed. Now I'm about to graduate and I missed my chance to show off last year because of the Pandemic but now I'm well-prepared. Let's go opposites!
So this is just any sports team
I had tryouts today and cuts will be made tomorrow and announced on Friday. I didn't do so good, I couldn't get the ball over the net when I served (I am pretty good at it of of the court, I need work on my toss though!) and I either swung or jumped when I passed. Videos like these helped me alot! (
I wanna get kicked out as soon as possible bc my mom is forcing me to do it as I'm already doing karate
im scared i wont get in because i still cant serve, mainly because its hard to keep my wrist and hand stiff, and because the other kids are like pick me's mostly, and they judge me sometimes which tends to make me not want to serve at all even though im passionate about volleyball. i also tend to get upset with myself when i make a mistake in front of people that have more skill than i do.
tryouts for my volleyball team are august 1st so i have time but im just scared its going to reduce my chances by a lot
Tbh I don't have much experience, but as long as you keep practicing, you'll get better! It's only natural to find people that are more experienced than you along the way. But try to focus on and believe in yourself. You can do it!
Good tip: don’t throw the volley ball over the net, you will get a penalty
Trust me I did it and the team said “ PENALTY!”
Honestly I'm not the smartest :( so if I try to join the team I might get kicked off 😔✊
You don't need to be the smartest to have a good gpa. Just do all of your work and put in the effort, you'll be fine! :)

God I wish you were my coach. The girls are very rude and self absorbed making volleyball not fun for others just because they think they are the best.

I haven't been on my practices and shit for months and when i came back to watch my cousin train after school my prof asked me why i havent gone go training, and i told him my reasons and he said im welcome to come back whenever i want 🤷🏽♀️

The last tip solidifies my thoughts on my coach being a massive arsehole. He seems to support the bullies in the team and gives them personalized training sessions and shouts at the fellas who try their best improve but don't meet his standards, and he doesn't help them improve.

Before trying out, I always get mad because I NEVER get to receive the ball. And when I get a chance at the ball, it goes outside. But, when I finally got my time to shine, I proved that I can actually play Volleyball
For my school you only need a 2.0 gpa
So almost anyone can stay on

I do volleyball but it's hard to be there all the time as I have a big busy family who have alot of events that I go to, I also have dance on Mondays, wednesdays , Saturdays etc. Volleyball is on Tuesdays which I really enjoy because I'm there with my bff ♡♡

I just joined a small league in my town and I am super nervous!! I have never played an actual game and im not that good. But i want to try it anyway. Im still really scared and have a ton of questions! Do you know if leagues teach you now to play or are you expected to know when you go in? They advertised it as teaching you how to play so I’m hoping they do😭

My team has the biggest bully’s-sometimes it’s hard playing because all they do is hurt you (not physically but sometimes the throw a ball at you and pretend to call ball after it already hit you), make fun of you, and are just really mean😕

Another thing that will get you kicked off even if you haven't missed a lot of practices and games, if youre not at one and your parent(s) call asking where you are. It happened at my school idk if its a rule at other schools
I’m on my schools b team and I think I’m ok like I could be better and sTuff but I think I’ve gotten better like I can’t do over hand serving but I can do underhand with both my left and right hand so I dunno but like I’m still in middle school so this is just a hobby

For football I know sportsmanship is important for our team but an away game they, gave us bleachers unlceaned!(first people there because my cousin is on the team and trash everywhere) , the cheerleaders didn't have there own space, the referee or umpire I'm not really sure what it is for the sport that calls flags but anytime our team scored or tackled a player we would get a flag even if nothing happened, one of the kids bumped past another player on the other team and they fell to the ground and started crying so we got flagged and everyone even our own couches knew that wasn't fair. The other team tried multiple times to fight us after we caught up with them in the game. Cheerleaders on our team gave sportsmanship as well as the players but the other cheerleadersjyst kept cheering to the crowd. And the concession stand they treated us awful for being the other team people. But at our school the cheerleaders have space and everything is clean on the other side and we have a track you can walk around if you don't wanna watch the game

Thinking of getting into a volleyball team next year I love volleyball not a day without it next year I might tryout because I have no volleyball places but at the school I might go to next year they have a volleyball team. I’m the one in my neighborhood that plays volleyball all day long.

Me and my team scream at each other lol obviously not just randomly or when it’s unnecessary just when we make repeated silly mistakes like calling the ball and then not going for it or not backing pff when someone else calls it or when two people call and neither go for it so it drops (especially when it’s a free ball) we have all agreed on it and that we are all ok with doing that haha

I thought it said "any" instead of many and I was like "well I'm not going to be able to play volleyball"
Whats the GPA have to be? I was somewhere around 3.4 i think last year.
i cant go to every game or practice because i have 3 medical conditions and when i got in i was ok and it was controlled and it was controlled for over a year so i felt safe enough to go back to the sport but then i needed surgery and the recovery rules was no sport and things like that but i only went to practices and some games so then i talked to the coach about leaving the team and she told me she understood and that i was ok with not being in it. She then came over to me again and basically forced me to only go to tournaments. i’m not very happy about that because my health is very important to me but the way she acted made me say yes. i’m upset.
My friend missed one basketball practice and got cut the next day

For a country that has a lot of sporty famous people. I hate our school systems. In mostly every school in the whole country, when it comes to sports choir or art... all u need is to join. U dont have to be a good student at all. Attendance is so low on anything thats not mednatory that they accept anyone.
