    Chris, Saw this video a while ago and it prompted me to try something similar. I used an N Gauge Dapol Light Bar and replaced the wires with some much finer. A bit of a fiddle but it works just fine with DCC spring pickups. I reckon it has cost me just £11 per coach to do. For a laugh I took a photo of BR Trojan seat material, shrank it in scale to about 00 and applied it to the seating. Looks quite realistic with the lights on, much better than plain brown plastic.

    I'm really tempted by these. I have the original non lit Pulman coaches and for a man of my limited electrical ability, lighting them now seems doable.
    On another note, my Accurascale Research Team turned up yesterday and are waiting in the engineering shed for an Accurascale class 37 to present itself.

    Very good video Chris. Not sure that I am confident to do this myself at the moment. I may have to watch the video a few times before i commit but - I like this product and I may give it a go in the near future. It is fantastic to see more TT120 product coming to market. well done INTLX 🙂 I would also be interested in MK2 Mk3 coach lighting for the HST and class 50, so hopefully that is in the future plans for INTLX too.

    Coach lighting looks good.
    We now need a good source of properly sized, reasonably priced seated passengers for lit coaches. Just thought of a use for the 7ft tall figures I got off ebay (3mm advertised as TT120 😞) - chop the legs off and stick 'em in coaches!).

    Maybe adding the wires to the springs first and then feeding through and soldering to the light board would be easier and less likely to melt any of the bogey detail?
    I have some springs coming (DCC Concepts) soon and I will be doing it that way round first.

    • @PeachyTT120
      @PeachyTT120  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Maybe, I didn’t have a particular problem doing my three, but I guess if competent with a soldering iron that route could be worth investing

    Hello Chris,
    Good show with the latest vid and for the upcoming interview.
    One question I have is whether the discontinued Pullman coaches followed by the launch of new Pullman's with different names is something that might repeat itself? Would be a nice touch if it does. Cheers

    My first set is arriving tomorrow - I choose the Scotsman (mainly because it was in stock🤣) in digital + a 4the radius curve to use as a 'proof of concept' whilst designing my layout.
    Having been out of modelling for many years, do you have any recommendations for a decent power supply? It's going to be a 4 line running on HM7000 with some lighting accessories (street lights etc)
    Thanks
    Adrian

    • @PeachyTT120
      @PeachyTT120  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Adrian. Sorry only just spotted this. I use a the Cobolt Alpha 18.5v DC 5a power supply. It’s a bit over the top but a quality unit. A few people say it’s not compatible, I’ve been using mine regularly for over a year and had zero problems.
      However I’m not sticking my head out to recommend it, as there are plenty out there cheaper and more than adequate for your needs.
