I was also on board Queen Elizabeth in December. I've sailed on her several times because I love the Art Deco decor and the peaceful elegance. There are no kids running around making a noise and no drunken fights which I've heard can occur on some ships. Some people think there might be snobbery on board but I've never found it to be so. Thank you for a great ship tour.
Thanks for you comment, and I 100% agree with you... I'm really not one to dress up, I'm more at home out in the bush or deserts of Australia camping and such, but I made a very small effort to buy a couple of dress shirts and such for the QE, I was expecting it to be a bit snobby and more upper class but I had no issues fitting in, I thoroughly enjoyed the demographic and vibe of it all even though I'm a bit younger than a lot of passengers (at 52)... AND YES about the kids, I think I only saw 4 or 5 kids on board and they were all very well behaved and always with their parents... It was my first cruise and I have no regrets, I'm glad I picked the QE over anyone else.. :)
I will be on the lovely Queen Elizabeth in January not long to wait now have been on her before so looking forward to our voyage.
She's an impressive ship, you'll have a great time no doubt :)
Have a great time, love ❤❤this ship 0:57
The food was leftovers from 1 or 2 weeks before this cruise went sailing i had food poisoning for the first 3 nights at the lido restaurant. The food was crap until the 2 nights before coming home and then it was fresh food. I just had to eat salad thru the trip.
It was really bad until i heard the top chefs arguing outside the lido restaurant about the food not been cooked probably and people were getting sick.

Interesting... I mainly ate in the main dining room, only went to the Lido a couple of times...
Not impressed by this Elizabeth Regina ship. The decor is not much better than a Carrnival ship.. Do not accept and approve class distinction on board where you have facilities for one class ( inner, oceanview and basic balcony) whilst another class for those pay more for their state cabin. British aristocracy is a dying breed especially in now day and age.
Will stick my cruise preference with Celebrity Line.
I didn't mind the 1930's art deco style, it's quirky and something different, I really liked all the art around the place, impressive... You don't notice the expensive Grills class people or facilities, they have their own small dining rooms and lounge tucked away up the top, you wouldn't know it's even there unless you went looking for it... The Grills Suits are VERY expensive, if people can afford them all well and good, it doesn't impact me at all, I was very happy with the Britannia Balcony cabin and Britannia Restaurant..
Actually, you will find to your chagrin that with the advent of ever larger ships, as a means of escape from hyped up crowds of budget cruisers and families with young children, the ship within a ship concept is steadily gaining ground. It provides a measure of restful luxury and exclusivity that discerning travelers demand. NCL has the haven, Cunard the grills and yes even Celebrity has the retreat.
