      Do they think we were blind? I've seen so many videos full of evidence what happening in Gaza, People are starving to death, amputating legs hand etc without anesthesia, children crying under the rubles, children sharing they story that they've seen people blown up by bomb, limbs hands head brain everywhere. And Israhell have done this decades. Do they really think we're blind or something? It's ridiculous to heard what they say about what actually happening in Gaza when we know the truth. @@louisep428 No, it started before then. The Zionist movement existed in the 19th century. 1948 is simply when Israel was recognised as a state, but Palestine wasn't (having been told they would be).

Governance was handed over to the Palestinian Authority, but two years later, Hamas took over and slaughtered or drove out anyone who opposed them! They rule with an iron fist. UNRWA receives vast amounts of aid from the international community (including our taxes!), but instead of spending it on schools, hospitals and other infrastructure, much of it is stolen by Hamas to build approx. 300 miles of tunnels, complete with living quarters and military operations facilities, and for purchasing arms. What is wrong with you? Hester's comments were made before Abbott's very poorly thought out letter in the Guardian, so they can't be a response to that, and his comments didn't reference Abbott's views. If that was all he was concerned by, then why would that make him want to hate all black women? Why not just criticise Abbott's ideas, rather than specifically attacking a characteristic that has nothing to do with her views?
      As for the comment asking what political party has ever returned a legal donation, for starters Labour returned a £1 million donation from Bernie Ecclestone in 1998, but even if this wasn't the case your question is irrelevant to the matters at hand. The question is SHOULD the money be returned (obviously yes), that would be the case regardless of whether or not there was precedent.

      @@samhunter1205If, as it seems, Hester is a racist, I would have thought that rather than returning £15 million to him, it should be donated to some relevant charity or other good cause? And if Hester is genuinely contrite about his comments, then he should donate more to such an organisation as well. Not that money really means anything to such people, but if it can help others, why not?

    • @samhunter1205
      @samhunter1205 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@sentlive yeah fair point, a better use for Hester's filthy money would be to donate it to anti-racism charities. What absolutely shouldn't happen is for the Conservative party to hang on to that money - all that does is given the (accurate, imo) impression that his donation is buying him a degree of political protection.

    We need some kind of coalition on the left championed by G. Galloway, Corbin, Diane Abbot and Mick Lynch somewhere in the mix, to get some real opposition and working-class voices back in British politics and get rid of the charlatans in the current Labour & Tory Parties. Stephen Flynn, by the way, does a good job representing the SNP.

Would one not want to fight those who had their land taken and where the outside world would do nothing except talk about it?

    Question Time is a great program. It does not resolve problems. Rather Question Time present different sides of an argument. We have people who believe Arab refugees (some maybe displaced Palestinians and others maybe Arab people who live in Gaza) living in Gaza are being punished by the Israeli Army. We have people who claim the Arab people living in Gaza are not being punished and are receiving sufficient aid from the UN. There are people who live in different if not opposing realities. There are people living in the UK who want Britain and the rest of the world to support Arabs or Palestinians. Other people who want Britain and the rest of the world to support Israel. If we assume there is a violent conflict occurring in Gaza between the Israelis and the Arabs (or Palestinian) refugees then it is up to the Israeli Government and representatives of Arabs or Palestinians to settle their differences. If these two parties want to fight and kill each other then they will fight and kill each other regardless of happens in Britain, the US, France, ... and the rest of the world. It does seem there are British people who want to take sides in the Middle East conflict between European Jews who settle in Israel and the native Arabs.
    What is truly amazing is that people actually believe there is some group called Hamas and Hezbollah, and these group are able to wage war against a well organized state like Israel who is back by the most developed countries in the world. Israel's military use some of the most powerful weapons of mass destruction from the US, Great Britain, France, Germany, ... While a bunch of displaced Arab-Palestinian refugees who have been kicked out of their homeland and are dispersed throughout the Middle East can sufficiently organize themselves to attack a modern, well-organized, and heavily armed Israeli State. How in the world can a bunch of homeless refugees kill 1,200 Israeli citizens, and kidnap-&-hold hundreds of Israeli hostages? NATO allies have supported Israel with sufficient firepower to make Israel one of the most powerful and secure states in the Middle East.
    Everytime "terrorists" groups attack Israel and kill Israeli citizens it is the Israeli military who in a short period of time crush the Arab-Palestinian aggressors, drive Arab-Palestinian people out of their homes, and annex former Arab-Palestinian lands. So why would Arab-Palestinians promote and support "terrorist" groups when the Israel military always kill far more Arabs and conquer more Arab lands? This does not make any sense. It sounds like hysteria. One of the participants claims that another "Holocaust" is occurring. That is to say Israelis are being slaughtered by a Hitler-style extermination program. But it is the Arab-Palestinians who are dying in far greater numbers and being driven out of their homes. It is the Arab-Palestinians who are far less developed (backwards), dying in far greater numbers, and expelled from their homes. It seems people are using propaganda and trigger words like "Holocaust" to avoid reason, logic, and reality to frighten everyone to join their cause.
    If there is a real conflict in Gaza between Israelis and Arab-Palestinians then it is up to Israelis and Arabs to settle their differences. People from other countries cannot stop Israelis and Arabs from killing each other by passing some law in Europe or North America. Great Britain cannot impose its good intentions on the Israelis or the Arab-Palestinians. The only way to enforce Britain's good intention is to send the Royal Navy, Army, and Air Force to Gaza and force the Israelis and Arabs to stop fighting. Does that make any sense? Does the mass killing of Israeli citizens by "terroists" groups called Hamas or Hezbollah make any sense? If Israel's military is so dominant it can defeat 3 neighboring Arab countries in 6-days, can a bunch of displaced Arabs refugee threaten Israeli security? If you believe that then you will believe anything.
