The questions Fiona asked at the beginning are why I won’t move back to the uk and will stay in Germany where I moved 10 years ago for a job and then had 3 children here. Should we get pliers??? It is an absolute joke and it’s now accepted that it’s almost a joke. And should a sexual abuser ever be given asylum. That we have to ask that question and ask it seriously on a mainstream programme on tv is a joke. Meanwhile people are struggling and the next generation just doesn’t seem to matter. We get 650 euros a month non means tested (230 approx per child). And the nursery places cost about 200 euros per child full time per month. The maths are simple here. The uk is unattractive.

The UK spends much more than it reaps in taxes and other revenue, hence borrowing has been continuous and actually accelerating. It's been an unprecedented time for governments with the pandemic which has exacerbated things, but we desperately need to get spending and borrowing back under control.
The more we borrow, the more interest we have to furnish, the less we have to spend from revenue, the more we have to borrow, the more interest we have to furnish, the less we have to spend from revenue and so on and so forth and that snowball continues into a debt spiral, which I would argue we're already in tbh. It's really quite worrying for the future generations and for overall health of the UK.

When I lived in Italy in 1986-8 there was no cap on the number of medical, dental, or any other type of students. Consequently 6 tines as many GPs per capita and 21 times as many neurologists. More of everything and no shortages of anything. But the UK political establishment only ever really looks at the rich Anglosphere countries for comparison. Part of the Little Englander island isolationist mentality mixed with late imperialism. The reality is that the NHS is one of the worst health systems in the developed world. Get rid of caps on enrolment. In return, as in Italy, the lack of a cap should apply, essentially, to attending the nearest university. There must also be compulsory inter-recognition of core units in all education and training course, and different routes in (part-time, dental technician or nurse first). Also, a Japanese-style compulsory insurance system (free for the dirt poor), whilst remaining free at the point of delivery for those who want it. This encourages good behaviour. Comparison´s with the Anglosphere should be banned, as a matter of Parliamentary procedure, until all the non-English speaking developed countries have been compared first.

That's the dumbest comment I have read this year. First look at the Human Right Act 1998 Article 10 freedom of speech expression is in law. Second while you may have a dislike for "Wokeness and Political Correctness" the right-wing stuff on religion and Gender hierarchy tradition is right-wing Political Correctness of right-leaning ideology. You cannot ban a subject matter and then say you have the right to say everything you want but it cannot be this or that.
