  • In this video, I’ll take you through how to build an exposed post treated pine paling feature fence. This is a great way to create a beautiful fence out of essentially the same materials used to build a standard boundary fence.
    Sorry about the dodgy audio.
    The materials I used were.
    125x125mm (5x5) cypress posts.
    150 x 38mm wet treated pine plinth.
75x50mm wet treated pine fence rails.
    150x12mm fence palings.
    100x12mm fence palings.
150x25mm wet TP plinth for cap and head board.

3 support rails vs 2 = a good thing when u get to 6' high ..... a top rail to cap it = good for aesthetics .... additional top & bottom rail width wise for show or to give it that framed look = great for aesthetics ......IMO all 3 of these steps not needed .... as it seems with all the extra designer (aesthetics) rails could have gone with 2 support rails instead of 3 or simply if the 2 wide designer rails is the look he wanted also could have done without that top cap rail .... and why cut n chisel EVERY post when I'm guessing North America can't be the only place that sells 25 cents galvanized fence brackets on which to hold those 2x4 support rails

    Hi mister nailing
So grateful for your no- bull advice on building the exposed post paling fence.
The stencil is a great idea as anything that relies on using a measuring tape to
accurately transfer dimensions will never be as accurate as a stencil gauge.

    • @naileditfencing
      @naileditfencing  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Not a dumb question. For gradients that aren’t too extreme, no need to cut. But if there are gaps between the paling and the plinth, then it’s a good idea to cut the bottoms.

Don't quite understand what the point of using a string line is after placing the plinths down on the ground. Why not just use the plinths to mark where the droppers need to go? Then you wouldn't have to move them all twice. P.S. Please invest in a couple saw horses and eyes and ear protection.

I’m showing the process, so anyone can do it over any distance.

I wish you had synchronized your sound. One second, I can hardly hear you; the next, I have to lower the volume. Why can't you people think..., think... think...?????"

It works perfectly for me. Sounds like it’s on your end.
