You don't need it but dohcs are nice. They also aren't really new. And sohc can stick be nice but other design aspects matter.
Actually I'm at some point gonna build an l28 engine. Tryna get it to make a certain hp lever is fairly difficult and ironically the easiest way to do that is a dohc conversion but not for the cams. It's to change the head to have crossflow exhaust. Helps with heat issues.
Though it's a stupid expensive conversion.

That's a stupid thing to say thoz because you're comparing a stock engine to this highly built one.
If you put this kinda money and effort into the new flat plane LS, you would have even more results. That's how progressive development works

Question 10k with any of the LS heads on your site? F series
Will you get big HP and 10k rpms as long as your short block is 4.185 Bore x 3.185 stroke?
Or is there a lot more setup needed to the short block? And What numbers will you get with the Fast intake? Try to spec for street driven car.

Great hp numbers but im not sold on the tq, but thats still awesome for a 350ci. I imagine it would still rip in a car. But personally with 900 horses id want at least 700tq to give me some serious grunt, would maybe give some of the stroke back to get more tq from a 6 liter

5.7L, they used a 4.185 inch bore and a 3.185 inch stroke which gives you a 350 or 5.7L. 10,000rpms is back of that low stroke and breathing is because of that 4.185 inch bore. For the HP/L crowd that is 163BHP/L as well as producing almost 100lb-ft of Torque/L.
