    Just wanted to let you know I really appreciate you doing these videos, it does help with siphoning thru the BS. BTW I had some m311 heads installed on my Thompson Motorsports ls427 they built us for autocross. We requested an engine that had a lot of torque! When we dynoed the Vette it made almost as much torque as horsepower! The dyno guy said he’d never seen that before and that he was thoroughly impressed and that was with a failing throttle body. I told him it must be the heads, torque and horsepower! We are still developing the Vette but just won our first race! I’m very happy with my FED cylinder heads.

    Legit PSA! I've been in this industry 23 years professionally, and I too believe that a firm stand needs to be made at times. 99% of my clientele came from unhappy relationships with their previous shops. I strive to keep my people happy, but I've held them just as responsible in the case they caused any failure.

    Customer's and shops expecting a safety net for their "learning curve" and self induced components failures has been growing for decades. I just had a shop / customer call expecting a refund on an engine they destroyed on their dyno caused by an admitted lack of monitoring ignition timing during the pull. The engine was detonated to death and the bearings proved it. It will only get worse as the enthusiast thinks bleeding out on the forums is a cure for their ills.

    Hey Chris, I do have a few questions regarding opening the exhaust ports up to reduce restriction and EGTs at port itself and its relationship to velocity driving the turbo on a diesel engine. I know you’re a gas engine guy but I still listen to you quite a bit on your turbo videos. Also a few questions regarding a custom ground cam and what the minimal overlap can be and if overlapping can be reduced to zero to keep the high pressure hot gases on the exhaust stroke from interfering with the cooler compressed air charge entering on the intake stroke? Separating/Isolating the hot gases from the cooler air should help air density and improve efficiency regarding the 7.3 powerstroke with the hindering 2 valve design. I’m focused on improving that design with a few key alterations, upsizing the valves, custom valve seats with a larger ID made of better heat transferring materials, same with valve guides, also focusing on springs and retainer upgrades. I need to flow test the set of heads I ported, they have helical intake ports so cylinder swirl is an important factor for fuel atomization. I need more time to devote to the development but HVAC is very hectic in summer, and it would be nice to have a flow bench at home

    Have you guys addressed the F series heads that were cracking at the lower exhaust bolt area ?

    • @jrgalloway86
      @jrgalloway86 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes sir, we addressed it late 2021. We no longer do the lightening program to keep them thick on the exhaust flange.

I understand why you made this video. but just let your product speak for itself!!

    the valves are quality valves from different company’s . the common part is your cylinder head.. it’s never good when companies defend their product.

      It's even worse when a stone thrower fails basic spelling...........

      When you compare stone throwing ,spelling to a possible product failure .I destroyed a 100,000 motor in a sense a LOT of carnidge
      Had 2 spare valves from same order,I had a notion where issue came from in a New engine, got valves ,both fatigue tested from the new ordererd with motor. One failed,I called no admittance at all sent valve in for their testing it was going to let go the same .They take no responibiliy .I asked how was their situation in fixing the issues .They lost the valve, had the delivery postage signed for = Bad luck in so many wordsif they dont have it how would they know.
