Do you think the resistance is strong enough on the Echelon 4S to get anyone out of breath and above a 160 heart rate? How would you compare the max resistance to other bikes you have tried?
I have this bike, got it for a steal at cotsco too! Lol paid $799 with 1 year free membership. I absolutely love my bike! Best bang for your buck for sure! I'm thinking about upgrading my screen size to the bigger one once it comes back in stock, but that's just me being "boujee" 😂😂 The one complaint I have too is the water bottle holder too, I have a wide hydroflask and it does not hold the bottle, keeps sliding off.

Helpful video. Have you ever had any issues with the monitor or cadence sensor not working? I’ve read those are common issues on some Echelon models after a few months or a year of usage. Thanks

My man, how is the user interface and the app/Bluetooth connectivity? Can you connect an HR band? Maybe the wifey can answer if the app crashes or errors regularly? Keep up the grind, peace
Late reply sorry man, but so far so good, the app is awesome. Just keep your password updated and do the updates as they come along. The display is clean and very interactive. No lag at all. Not sure about the HR band , but I'm sure it's something you can find out about here on TH-cam.

Does anyone think the resistance is strong enough to get virtually anyone out of breath and above 160 heart rate? Most reviews I have seen say the cheaper bikes have much lower resistance than bikes like the Peloton. Any advice finding an affordable high resistance bike I very much appreciate.
Hey man! Thanks for the review. I'm about to pull the trigger on this bike. What are your thoughts on the tablet screen size? Is it large enough? Also, what health benefits have you noticed so far? Weight loss? Thanks again
Hey bro, It is an excellent, good quality built bike. Value for money and it compares well with more expensive bike out there. It looks amazing and the screen is about 12 inches. For the price its a great deal. I ride a lot outside so I bought this bike to get me thru the cold winters. But if your looking to lose weight biking is a good way to get some results.

Check to make sure all the screws/nut & bolts are connected tightly. Could be it's not tightened properly. Also the seat that came with the bike is not the best. I changed my saddle same week I got it. Hope this helps.
Anyone know how the EX4s differs than the EX4s+? There is one in my store that's the EX4s+ on sale $799 from $999, but it's a different model than the one on Costco's website (different SKU too), but it's also on sale for $799 from $1099.99. Oddly enough, the cheaper MSRP model in store has a bigger screen and is the + model. Can anyone make sense of this?
This is a great video! I, too, am an extremely happy 4s owner and I have been very happy with the Echelon instructors and classes. My local Costco has the 4s on clearance for $699. Right next to it sits the 4s+ for $799 (with discount). Having owned the 4s and having just purchased the 4s+, the differences are these: • bigger screen (4s has 10” screen; 4s+ has 15.5” screen). It DOES make a difference. The 4s screen is fine but the 4s+ 15” looks and feels more robust and immersive. Plus, the power, volume up and down buttons, and speakers are all on the front of the monitor. • “better” handlebars. The 4s bars are perfectly fine, but the shape and size of the 4s+ handlebars are thicker and more refined. In addition, the handlebars on the 4s+ are adjustable (forward or backward, per rider prefer) where the 4s handlebars are not. • all adjustments for the seat and handlebars (for the 4s+) are knobs instead of what’s on the 4s (which I thought were fine). I cannot discern any other differences. The drink holders are still in the same place. The pedals are also the same (toe clips on one side, SPD clips on the other). The “competition seat” (which I love) is also the same. For the same price as last year’s 4s, I think this year’s model’s improvements are superb. We loved the 4s and are super happy with the 4s+. I cannot speak to why the 4s+ doesn’t show up on Costco.com (I also checked) and currently seems to be available only in stores.
@@michaelkidd9695 Is the resistance strong enough to do long steady state workouts above 140-160 heart rates on this bike? Do you think the resistance is strong enough to get anyone out of breath?
I think the answer to your first question depends on the workout one chooses to do (and what resistance is selected). For my part, though, yes...I have done some workouts where my heart has raced into the heart rate zone you identified. Admittedly, I don't always do those workouts but there are some instructors (like Nicole and Sam) who push me and my heart rate into that zone. There are other TH-cam reviews that compare the 32 levels of Echelon resistance to Peloton's 100 levels. It seems like those reviewers suggest that an Echelon 32 equates to a Peloton in the mid-to-upper 80s. I don't often end up in the 30s on my workouts (my choice or energy level being the determining factors) but I believe that a sustained time in the upper 20s and 30s is adequate to make one breathless. At least it does for me.
@@michaelkidd9695 Thank you. Can you share links where you found the reviews comparing the resistance of Echelon versus Peloton? Resistance is #1 for me otherwise the bike is useless since I can do even bodyweight cardio at 13-140HR. I have tried a Keiser M3 and 22/20 was enough to get breathless. Have you tried a Keiser M3 and if so how would you compare it to the Echelons?
I bought one today after watching this review multiple times! Would like to see an update video

Yeah I did upgrade to the wider, more comfortable saddle, but honestly it doesn't make too much of a difference for me.
