Looks like a brilliant gun.and great idea with that balance compartment at the front. My dad had something similar. But he added some mirrors inlayed into the front of the gun to act as flashers.only thing I don't like is the flopper on the bottom of shaft but thats just me. Brilliant gun mate.

Hey Aron, I would love to see more lobster and stone crab hunting. It’s been a while since I’ve done either. I use to dive for stone crab under a bridge in the mouth of Tampa Bay. Terrible vis, strong currents and lots of stuff to get tangled in if you weren’t careful. Key West looks much better!
Love the videos. You have clips about your gear, boat gun but what about your mask fins and wet suit do you have a preference or is it all good enough and it’s about color? Or maybe should I look for a brand that’s better?
I think everyone should try on their own equipment, good fitting equipment is more important and what someone else recommends. I have an older gear review video where I go over my stuff but again doesn’t mean it’s the right stuff for everybody.

I have the koah 52in Mid Plus Fatback very similar specks. I love the manoverablity and control of the handle placement. I don't know why they are not more popular. For long range precision and power in clear deep water I use my MVD carbon 120 inverted roller. Different tools for a different job.

Can you go into detail about the trigger mechanism? What it looks like up close and how it works? I have no experience with spearguns so I didn't know what you're talking about
The only reason I'm looking at small roller guns is I have to travel to spearfish and Washington state and less often California is where I will mostly go. So I'm thinking of a 75 roller so it will travel more easily and maybe make up a little bit for being undersized. I don't need anything bigger for Washington's limited viz. I've had recommendations on both sides of the roller/standard debate. I'm fully on board with getting better at hunting and closer and would appreciate your thoughts. I did a key west trip and I know I'm going back as soon as possible.
yea I have nothing against rollers. just don't think they are great for beginners. i'm all about efficient but not at the cost of accuracy! I could go on and on. pros and cons to both!
Congrats on the new banana 2.0. I order my guns from Mike Hatch that one looks like my Ulua. I also use my salvimar 75,85cm rollers in 30-45 depth but I really prefer my Hatch Ameros. I agree with you about the groupers, in my area Big pine they are looking great for May 1st.

My filming partner and I are going to try to do a spearfishing video this year in the northeast for blackfish and scup when the season opens. Keep an eye on that gun when Bluegabe comes around again lol.

Beautiful gun. Wish I could hold my breath like you. Even better, I wish I was immune to seasickness. I can never tell when it will happen. Sometimes I can be fine in 6-8ft seas and I have been miserable in 3ft. Unfortunately, I would have had to take Will's route and bail on the trip!
You are definitely lucky. But having the ability to be on the water, any time I have the opportunity, was the reason I moved to Florida a little over a year ago.

Any opinion on gun shape? Not sure if you have had any experience with different shapes like the cuddle fish looking guns I think riffe has one now and aimright I’ve only had rail guns so far gonna build a wood one as soon as I get done with boat maintenance for the year.

My first speargun was an ab biller 48. Awesome gun. I have a riffe e90x and i still like the way the ab biller shoots better
that's a common gun for alot to start with! great gun to learn with. I've never actually shot a pneumatic!

no its just to fine tune its buoyancy while aiming, most peoplew wouldn't notice it, I've just handled alot of guns in my time!
