Between the (3) which has been your favorite gun to shoot so far ? i am just wondering what your opinion is now that the video has aged, any pros/cons ?

I'll start with The Mako. Mako makes a great all around do as you with treat as you wish speargun. I beat that thing on rocks, aluminum boats and dropped it countless times and it still functioned not including the times I let friends borrow it and they layed it on the beach......covered in sand. With that being said they make a very durable gun however it is now like 15 years old and things have finally begun to wear and I need new parts like the saftey doesn't work and the shaft is pretty rusty but thats just poor care on my part. Great gun for the price no complaints but in time you'll come to appreciate a wood gun which brings me to KOAH the newest addition.
This was my first Koah and I wish I did not buy the collaboration gun version that key west waterman built where I hunt fish this is not the gun for my area...its a great gun shoots quick balanced amazingly and the deal was just perfect for me at the time to have another reel gun. The purpose I bought it was for those clearer days and deeper trips I may need a long gun so thats why I really bought it. I am still learning it its a lot to swim with that I am not used to the mako and wong are very light the Koah is heavyier bc its all wood the wong is half wood and carbon fiber. No complaints yet other than weight and manuverability for where I dive.
The Wong is my pride and old faithful. I acutally just shipped it back on saturday to Dr Wong to have it repaired the track was failing from the crimp rubbing on the rail. He is aware that happens over time and is installing a insert for the gun that he adds on his newer models. But with that said I have had that wong since 2012. SO its been over 10 years and it has also never failed me. Ive shot gags, kings, cobia, snapper, hogs, flounder, pretty much everything big or small the Wong got it done (with a reel for the bigger fish). Its a little bite to buy and build but so much appreciation goes into it once its built he makes a beautiful gun and something you connect with as he builds it to suit you and your vision.
to do it all over I would have 3 wong guns just to have 3 wong guns...They're just awesome to shoot I actually am about to have him build me a smaller gun for my wife after he repairs my 42 northeaster.
But its all up to you they all have killed the same fish I have shot and never failed me yet. Its just preference over time I want to pass my guns down to my future kids If I have any and the wong or a Koah are the examples of that tradition to pass along.

Koah guns are a bit heavy if you are not used to the weight. So are you going to sell it or keep it?

Yeah they're a lot heavyier than I figured it would be ... Its heavier than the Wong for sure bc its half carbon and its longer. I will keep it for sure as my grouper gun / deeper water gun or on clear days. The gun is very powerful and shoots further just not exactly for my area but its a great gun for situations that may come up. I haven't had a ton of opportunities yet with it sadly then the grouper regs just changed in florida to sep-dec so the window is 4 months shorter for that which is a drag they are in the flats around june - august and typically move away into deeper water around late august and I stop seeing them so grouper where I am won't be shot with this gun most likely. Now traveling or doing blue water I will for sure bring it or clear days like I said. I did just buy another Wong gun for my Wife which is the pistol version and that'll be fun to shoot some of the flounder snapper and sheephead I have around me in St Marks Florida. That video will come out here shortly it should arrive friday so look out for that video if you're interested in another gun review.

@@SpearingWithSlurpey yes it’s called the Grover and I believe it’s 36 inches and a hip fire I think they are going for 550$

@@alexlesko4493 Yeah thats what I saw, its the same basically as the shortie - Mid for $535. I probably woulda bought this one over the banana gun the banana gun is great for its purpose of further fish and clear water. Its just clunky to me the more I have used it. I enjoy the wong guns more personally.
