  • When you travel or live in an English-speaking country, you’re going to deal with servers in restaurants. They speak quickly and expect a quick response. If you don’t understand what they ask you, or if they don’t understand your response, you may get food that you didn’t want! To avoid this, be prepared. Watch this lesson to learn some of the common questions you’ll be asked in a restaurant, as well as how to answer them. We’ll cover questions such as: “How would you like your steak, eggs, or potato done”?, “Tap or draught?”, “Buttered or plain?”, and more. Have you ever been in a situation in an English-speaking country where you didn’t understand what a server was asking you? Let me know in the comments. www.engvid.com/restaurant-que...

Thank you, Adam, for this lesson. I'm a trainee at a Hotel in Germany. And we have so many international guests. It's good to know how to ask them these important questions and explain some of the terms in English. If it's possible, could you make a video about theme Reception in a hotel? Thanks for your efforts.

I was wondering if could possibly teach a class explaining the terms broil, grill, bake, roast? How are these activities different from each other? Also, what is a stew and what is a casserole?
I appreciate your help, Sir, and I'm looking forward to another great video of you.

After a very bad service in a restaurant the waiter said: do you want a wine? Yes, was the answer. What year, please? What year? What year? Right now. This is not a joke, was a true story. I remember that because of this very and interesting lesson.
