Yes, but he doesn't have to, because he holds back all the time, like in the Tournament he was in awhile back, he punches, or hits them, but they are still fine. Saitama only goes for a true normal punch on Monsters, as we've seen time and time again, obliterate them with ease.

@@walistambo7323 Exactly. Garou never meant to kill Saitama or anyone else. He attacks to damage the heroes as much as possible to the point where they can't work. But never tries to kill. Thus, he's holding back. Even Saitama says so in the WC and I'm pretty sure he'll do it in the manga too.

We must remember, Chin kid basically told Saitama not to kill Garou. Thus, Saitama is undoubtedly holding back his punches. It’s still an impressive feat to shrug off Saitama’s punch, but we should still keep in mind Saitama isn’t trying to kill the guy. If he were a monster for real, Saitama probably wouldn’t be playing around all too much and would have ended the fight by now due to boredom.

In the webcomic Garou's power and speed increase with each transformation, but he slowly loose his mind, Saitama pointed this out "can't even give a proper reply huh", when Saitama said "You're weaker than before" he was referring to Garou reliant on the raw stats he gain from his transformation instead of his martial arts, the thing that allowed him to predict and counter Saitama, impressing him in the first place.
But Saitama is too powerful for martial arts so...
I think Garou’s “Great Power Technique,” is basically an application of the Explosive Heart and Whirlwind Iron cutting fists with its use of shockwaves to do internal damage. He kinda used a weaker version of this attack (then unnamed) against Darkshine

I suspect that Saitama's promise to stop Garou without killing him is why he hasn't used a "Serious" attack yet. From Saitama's point of view, any fight he has taken remotely seriously has ended in the immediate destruction of his opponents. It would be foolish to be careless here.

This fight ain’t over and definitely not ending next chapter. It’s gonna at least last another 5-7 chapters. It’s supposed to surpass the Boros fight and Garou’s final form will definitely be the small compressed form he had in the webcomic. I think the hit he took was intentional. With the way Saitama is treating him, he might not be trying to hurt him like he did Boros. The writing and hit makes it seem more like he is just trying to get him to understand he isn't a monster and is a hero.

In regards to the punch, I think context has to be added, especially comparing it with boros. Saitama was excited with boros. He saw a potential challenger. With garou, he was already asked to save him from himself. As of now, he hasn't matched boros in speed or feat. I do believe though that Saitama will at some point get that surprised looked he had fighting boros though.
I think there’s gonna be a final stage that’s much more human-like. This seems like it’s going the Frieza route.

I saw somebody say that Garou might transform with what he needs. He needs strength? He gets larger and gains more muscle to punch harder. He needs speed? He shrinks to move faster. I personally think it’s a really good theory. Again, this is somebody else’s theory.

In the webcomic as garou kept transforming he kept getting stronger, but when he tried going beyond the gargoyle form, he started losing power and thats when saitama stated it to him.

Garou is easily one of the best characters in manga. It's as if he belonged in Dragon Ball. He just doesn't stop. He's a force of nature

I think the difference between boros and garou it’s important to take into consideration when comparing them is saitama had no problems killing him he knew he was evil where as the with garou saitama asked the child if he wants him to stop him and not kill him. He could still become stronger though as the manga progresses

The cover page with Garou as a skull and the image of Saitama in front of the mountain as Garou says that Saitama is tougher than a mountain are next level and incredible work by Murata. In an amazing chapter they stand above all the rest for me.
It doesn't really make sense though destroying a mountain isn't really a great feat genos has been able to do that since season 1 of the anime and I know tatsumaki could easily do it with her psychic powers. Garou should be far ahead of a mountain level feat by now.

Meteoric burst Boros is still stronger than this Garou by a wide margin though. The guy obliterated the top of his ship with one punch , which is the size of a city, sent Saitama to the moon with a knee( the knee was so damn powerful, it even made a crater on the moon) . Garou, intending to beat Saitama to the point of no return (holding back not by much though), only destroyed a mountain and a couple of buildings.
His ship is also from some type of metal that even Tatsumaki can't hurt much with her bombardment. Garou is nowhere near Boros.
I think it was stated that Boros is dozens of times more powerful than Garou's final form

I have this idea of how they will visualize Group accepting God's power. Once he's fully beaten by Saitama his mind will flash to when he was a child and was pretending to be monster. One of the kids that beat him up will walk toward Garou and ask him if he's going to let the heroes win again. The kids skin will slowly morph to God's skin and he'll hold out his hand telling him "Let me help you back up"
Garou will take his hand and when he does the scene will shift back to the fight and Garou will be in his final Monster/God form.

I think it is true though that the story is only serious when saitama isn't on screen. You have to remember the comedy aspect of OPM. I think this fight is turning out to be a balance of a good fight and true OPM fight at the same time.
I'm kinda not taking the punch he gave Garou seriously. Saitama has punched other people and not one shot them. I think he didn't really put anything behind it. It's like when he chopped Speed of sound sonic. Until I see a serious series move that's what will make me like okay. I would be disappointed if serious table flip isn't done. There's a part in the webcomic that I liked where it seemed like Saitama was excited to fight because he exclaimed, after attacking Garou, that he could keep going. He even had a smile on his face. I haven't gotten that sense yet in this fight in the manga. I sincerely hope that the fight will keep going to the point to where Saitama gets serious enough to use his serious moves.
I think it'll be at that point if the s class engages and tells b class to fuck off before getting humiliated as a unit
Btw… the volcanos erupting goes back to the revised chapter 108 where Saitama is fighting Orochi. There is a scene where Orochi taps into the molten core of the earth to fight Saitama and there is a panel where you see the volcanos on the surface by the city erupting.
I feel like the volcanoes are gonna be involved in serious table flip.

It's already established from the previous chapter that Saitama's attacks are non-lethal so we can easily assume that Saitama rn is holding back even more vs the Boros fight which could make Garou look tougher.
I really hope that this is all before the "serious table flip" and maybe he starts to merge with god after Saitama tells him that he's a fairly sweet guy. His mosterification has been so fast up till now

I think that garous power is constantly evolving as well as using his opponents feelings or strength to amplify his own as we've seen with metal betal in previous chapters so maybe he will be able to use something similar to serious punch eventually on Saitama called like serious evil punch or something to which Saitama might sustain damage and finally fight serious to stop him

Personally I find the character development quite intriguing a master made to look like the hero isn't something I see often and I do enjoy it
To me, tableflip was the first surprise moment and his wings was the second while I'm reading the webcomic. That's what I was expecting to see in the manga too, but so far it's been two chapters and we still don't have any sign for tableflip... yet, we're already get to the point where he grows his wings like it's no big deal for him to keep mutating
I kinda hate it for the fast pace but knowing how Murata work, I think we're gonna get a bunch of unexpected surprises in the next chapters. Finger crossed, just remember the sliced-earth surface scene, Tatsumaki twisting the city, Blast introduction, god standing in the moon... they're all just came out of nowhere and make us dropped our jaw!
I'll just keep what Murata said about their fight is on a whole another level compared to Boros' fight in my mind

By comparing the outcome with those of King, The final comment shows how insightful he is and this is much more interesting than just his raw invincibility and power.

The image formed by garou also shows that it looks evilish but it is just a man referring to Garou's personality or what he is trying to achieve. (How did Murata came up with that idea? It's not just his talent in drawing, we can clearly see his thoughts, effort, and heart in giving us each of this chapters. As much as I want for the chapters to be released quickly, I want One & Murata to take their time in making this Masterpiece.
I think currently Saitama is playing around because Tareo asked him not to kill him. The fight will drag on long enough for garou to power up and force Saitama to use actual power

Im so glad that they made garou more stronger than weaker because ever since I read the webcomic and seeing garou get massive I'm like logically he must have got stronger but NO he got weaker?!?! So I'm so so glad he is not just stronger but hes faster and STILL has his intlect and skills. I'm can't wait to see garou get stronger and get a super awsome form like a dragon or sum
He didn't get weaker, he just lost his martial arts which is the thing help him caught up with Saitama, that why Saitama said he getting "weaker", it's not literally mean he weaker in strength, he definately far stronger but his strike was less more effective against Saitama, and competitive with Saitama in strength would be an instant L for anyone
@@duongminhduy9777 I think that he got weaker because his body wouldn't keep up with his desires to evolve constantly to match up Saitama.
Besides that you can argue that webcomic Garou also "stopped" using martial arts tecniques, but idk, maybe he did but against Saitama it doesn't really matter if you can or cant use martial arts.
Like he said, its just a way to move all cool like.
@@joaquincortescasas8114 when he using martial arts, he can dodge and counter Saitama punch because he can read Saitama move before it happen so no, it isn't just a cool move, in a normal case, Garou would win his opponent by counter them with Martial arts, however, with Saitama, he can only keep up a bit before eventually lose but that still an impressive thing at least
