The guy with the neon Nike Romaleos at 1:27 has some substantial elevation added to his heels. Looks like at least 2 centimeters. I wonder if the new weightlifting shoes worn by the Chinese have this much heel raise as a standard. Anyone knows?
+All Things Gym Ah, that's Su Dajin. He uses the squat jerk, right? I have been thinking about modifying my Romaleos in this way. So much easier to keep an upright body which is essential for that technique. Thx for all the uploads!
+Rafael David Correct observation! The chinese emphasize loading on the quads and trunk tension. Both decrease in full bottom position. Front squat is aimed more at position training for the clean.
+andyscrumifi Just unrack and hold - a front rack hold (get used to a weight that is >> than your jerk)Unrack and break at the knees (a sort of quarter front squat) - Jerk Dip Squats. Strengthens the dip portion of the front squat.I'm also new to Olympic weighting (having been a powerlifter for a few years) and the subtleties do take some time appreciate. This videos are quite frankly superb content so show how the professional do it!!

+Achilles248 That's Su Dajin. He has been wearing elevated heels for a long time. I don't think that much elevation is the standard on the Anta shoes.

Just me or the chinese don't like much to go atg in back squats? I see them go deeper in front squats though...
