    Thank you master, a thousand times. Seriously, after a couple of hours I would get some sort of a tingling ache where my shoulders met my neck and I figured it's just something I have to deal with by stopping and moving around.
    Well, now I brought my bars back and up a bit and it made a world of a difference. Most of us don't understand the importance of ergonomics so thanks again.

    Is your floorboards positioned flat or at a angle?

      Not sure which bike you're asking about, but I have Floorboards on my Sportster, Softail and Tri Glide and they are all at a bit of an angle.

    On the trike, how tall is the rider? I'm a little guy, 5'6", and have gone to a 10" mini-ape and still find myself pulled forward resulting in that dreadful pain in the shoulders.

    • @DKCustomProducts

      5' 11" with long arms. The only way to know where your handlebars should be is outlined in the following written report:
      www.dkcustomproducts.com/how-to-set-your-bike-up-for-youthe-comfort-triangle-dk-tri-su.htm
      Sit on your trike
      Put your feet on the pegs/floorboards
      Close your eyes
      Put your hands out to where it is most comfortable to hold them
      Open your eyes...where ever your hands are, that is where you want the handlebar grips to be

    I feel you are missing one important aspect. The shoulder position. To far forward and many people have issues. In proper handle bar placement, it is crucial the rider has their upper triangle, as I call it, setup for them. That's the hand placement, seat height and back/shoulder alignment. I've stressed that you should get the seat to a height and comfort for you first. Then sit in the bike, lean back, close your eyes, place your arms in front of you at the height and width that feels comfortable. Use life experiences to guide you to that spot. I'm more comfortable with my arms up, near shoulder level, even when I sit on the couch, thus I eat my arms more in front of my body, up and my hands barely wider than shoulder width. Lean forward with your eyes closed. When you get comfy, stop and have someone measure you have location from the existing handle bar. Repeat, average out any differences. The feet only have a couple options so they are easier to get fitted, but your tips on them are accurate. It's more like a diamond, not a triangle for all 4.

      Thanks for the comment. Seems like you did not watch the entire video. What you described is exactly what is in the video.

    • @sgtduckyboy64
      @sgtduckyboy64 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DKCustomProducts I totally DID watch the video. I think you didnt read my comments.Regardless, I'm commenting on your Triangle. Its hardly the complete story. The real Triangle is hands, shoulders and seat with consideration on the feet. But like I said, its more of a Diamond, with the top and bottom, shoulders/feet and the two sides, hands and seat. My comment should of stated, you should ADD the shoulder position to the Triangle thus making it a Diamond and your analogy would meet the needs, which you state in your video and thus giving it the full consideration it needs. sorry for misstating my intent, but its still implied that your triangle fails to show the shoulder position as vital to the setup.

      @@sgtduckyboy64 Thank you. Guess I'm not understanding the difference between the shoulders and the hands. When we talk about putting the hands where they are comfortable, we do assume (and maybe that is where the problem is) that someone will not put their hands where it would make the shoulders uncomfortable.
      I think we may be saying the same thing, just a different way.

    • @sgtduckyboy64
      @sgtduckyboy64 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DKCustomProducts Fair enough, but I think its worth emphasizing, since most issues I've encountered with myself and talking to others, stemmed from reaching too far or leaning forward to get to the bars. I think some people do it to look cool, but dont realize their body isnt going to like it! I've watched and learned from many of your videos and great stuff! This was the only comment I had to add to any of them, and learned quite a bit from the others. Keep up the good work!

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sgtduckyboy64 Next update we do we will emphasize that issue. I agree with you 100%...the aching usually comes from the bars being too far forward...shoulders need to be in a natural (relaxed) position, otherwise there will be a payment for sure.
      Glad you're digging the videos. Always appreciate hearing that, and all comments.

    There are two different airhawk cushions, could you please look and give me your recommendation as to which one ?, my wife says she could use one as well.
    It seems both of our butts get numb from riding.
    Also, do y'all carry brake pads?, specifically ceramic?, or would you recommend those?.
    Greatly appreciate your input,thoroughly enjoy the videos, and I try and share them in some of the triglide groups I am in.

      I just went out and measured my Airhawk- It is 15" across at the widest point, and it is 15" front to back. I looked for a part # on it, did not see one.
      I usually get EBC pads when I need them, which is not often. I've never tried the ceramic, so have no first hand experience.

      @Kevin Gleason Thanks! Right side scoops air to run past the back of the rear cylinder, left side removed lets that scooped air flow quickly out, rather than swirl behind the cylinder.

    Luckily My shoulders have never been a problem. It’s my damn tailbone that kills me. I mean it hurts like hell. I’ve tried so many seats and seat add-on but nothing ever works.

    • @DKCustomProducts
      @DKCustomProducts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is great that the shoulders are good...sucks about the tailbone. In the Comfort Triangle, before the shoulders/handlebars are feet & butt placement. Dunno your situation exactly...what bike, etc. But here are several things to consider (that you may or may not have done already) to get rid of tailbone pain.
      Backrest
      AirHawk
      Sheepskin
      Recontouring the seat to fit your butt
      Foot placement can really shift the weight on your tailbone
      It is possible that all the above can be optimum, but if the suspension is no good, then that may be where attention is needed.
      If you can sit in an office chair and not get tailbone pain, then you should be able to set up your Harley to be just as comfortable.
