    I think I am an ESTP and I tend to be philosophical but in a very practical way, you can say a practical philosopher who ruminates on things about life so that I can live and enjoy this life in a much better way, Is that common for ESTPs?

      Estp here, an estp should realize that there's more to life, more to Existence, than a simple mere enjoyment of life itself

    What the hell? When you mentioned that ESTP’s are very likely to feel “in a box” or limited because of the MBTI test, I totally identified. At first I thought doing the test was something super cool, but then I felt it limited me in a way I did not like at all. Great analysis!

    My favorite ESTP indeed likes to please people. He will disagree with you [pleasantly for the most part] but he will promise to do whatever you want him to. Aside from changing his opinions naturally. But he doesn't always get around to doing it. And yea, he loves to use his body, whether fighting or demolishing buildings or fixing computers or servicing robots. And he actually enjoys being scared.

    I can't decide whether I'm an ISTP or ESTP, I'm really something I the middle. I like being alone but socialising doesn't drain me either, I'm just picky about people. When I'm having fun with some people I can hangout all night, otherwise I better spend time alone.

    • @evenwithme_1753
      @evenwithme_1753 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It could be a sign of extroversion if you say that socialising doesn't drain you, you don't have to be a loud person to be an extrovert, people confuse those loud ass people that doesn't know how to control themselfs when they are talking, extroversion can be more than being talkative and always being in a group you know, so you should reconsider ESTP, but thats up to you, you have been with yourself more than anyone :)

    Ok now it makes sense. I’m just a shy ESTP I thought I was an ISFP or ISTP but it turns out I don’t use Ti as a dominant function which led me to believe I was ISFP because I care about how others feel and put myself in their shoes sometimes. However I couldn’t relate more to the controversial opinions that I hold back on and leading everything with how I feel right now and showing that off to people around me. I’ve learned now thank you.

    • @evenwithme_1753
      @evenwithme_1753 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      yeah i think i am in the same situation, i thought for a moment that i was an ISTP and didn't take ESTP as an option since a lot people call me quite, introvert... you know what i mean, but the thing is that i use Se as a dominant cognitive and didn't even notice. You don't have to be a loud ass to be an extrovert, people confuse extroversion with loudness but it doesn't really mean that.

      When I was dealing with a lot of anxiety, I thought that I was an introvert
      But now that I’ve copped with my anxiety I can’t see myself as an introvert, but I’m not as extrovert as other people I’m still anxious and I feel like (when people describe mbti’s types that extroverted people can’t be anxious) so I feel you so much

    Thank you for the detailed video! I did the test a few times and always kept landing on ENTJ and ESTP, more or so ESTP. As soon as you mentioned, "we are sort of people pleasures and change depending on the room we're in" I resonated more with ESTP. Definitely more accurate representation myself.

    what is crazy is I am an INFP who was in a relationships with probably an ESTP but did not know since he hated personality tests and refused to take them so I tried so much while we were dating to type him but I did not see him clearly enough. I can now. We definitely did not have a healthy relationship but I also saw a lot of healthy things also. So it is interesting to hear you talk about both. Very fascinating and providing so much clarity. Thank you.

      My ex-wife is an INFP. I'm and ESTP and she and I were not compatible overall because idealism vs realism never ends in peace, but rather rubble. I've come to appreciate her type, but I understand that we are not compatible in romance. But socially, we're quite compatible.

    At 50 and a very busy life (now stuck at home after surgery to the knee- an horror for me),I came to this video while searching: "trying to solve problems all the time" and "overthinking about concepts and situations"...like my brain never stops trying to figure out why we are living and how we can improve the world...but also making lists of my own concepts of life. My job was counsellor for people starting their own business, then I had my own business too. I tried at least 10 business ideas and got bored each time just after starting it. I always have problems because I tell people 'the truth", even in my job. Changing is what I want to do all the time. I like to be the center of attention but with age, it tends to be more in small groups or with clients. I like to finish sentences of people in my head in advance and I am always right. I also spend a lot of time looking at animals and trying to figure out what they are thinking (I am sure they are). When I was a child, I was so overthinking that I could even faint from it. I was playing piano pretty good and would take part in all scientific contests or theater plays. I guess I am not crazy, just an ESTP.

"i don't see anything wrong about it?" or "i'm in total disaster..." "dw girl you're good it will pass" LOL. anw i'm similar to my mom so i wish to find a TP partner someday!

      ESTP tends to be more concrete and more focused on gathering real data that can be used for something in the physical world. They have easier to form conclusions. Se/Ni axis.

    I have problem between understanding if I'm Fe dom (Enfj) or Se dom (estp) because i was unhealthy, thought future is doomed, people are shit that should rather disappear and was annoyed by any sensory stimuli. Before that, my choices was controlled by my parents, my "choice" ended when parents decided that they didn't like what i was doing and who i was talking with. That ended up making me enneagram 8 that annoyed to be put in box where i have no control over anything. Have a very big problem with "putting myself in a box", it's like limitations to me. Every time i tried to type myself it was based on characters that i want to be because I don't understand myself. I still have trouble understanding myself but now, after becoming healthy I'm pretty sure that i use se fe ti ni. Ti dom and ni dom don't definy me at all, like i can use ni sometimes to make an argument but i definitely not Ni dom. Which leaves me to Fe dom and Se dom

    • @AlexisKingsley
      @AlexisKingsley  3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Ya! I think excellence/precision are better words. When ESTPs develop their Ti well, they can get into technical interests. Like precise equipment for guitars, technical equipment and best software for computer, very high standards for themselves and their work. In my opinion most people are unhealthy (3rd function overused, 2nd function underused) so therefore most ESTPs won't use Ti that much, so most ESTPs won't get into that precision/accurate/technical side until much later. When unhealthy they can actually be quite sloppy, but I prefer to describe healthy types 😉
