    The auto focus is doing its own thing this video, sorry about that! I figured out why for next video.

    Did u ever go to stage one? If so what was the lift height you got??also does it ride better Nd not as stiff??? Any axle wrap when braking?

    • @seekopenair
      @seekopenair  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup I’m on stage 1 currently, ride is much more plush but I can’t tell which one I prefer more. The stage 2 felt more planted and I’ve added more weight so I may need to go back to stage 2. I get some gnarly axle wrap and I do have a driveline clunk that I believe to be my slip yoke that only started occurring when I went down to stage 1 :/

    Did you ever have any issues with the RXT leaf pack paired with the 5160s bc regardless of the adjustment to the lowest position of the leaf pack, the 5160s aren’t made the have that much lift. I’ve heard mixed things about pairing them.

    Ever have any moments where you wish you had a rear-locking diff? Trying to decide if the base SR5 will be as good for my needs as the TRD Off Road. Not a major off-roader, but live in Colorado and don't want to be limited.

      Have to do your research many Pro's and cons, I'm never going to be a rock crawler, but I go to some pretty rough places off grid to fish , hunt and camp, went with the SR5. With the weight I knew I would add and the 32 inch tires 265/75/16 tires I knew also that I wanted to re-gear, no brainer for me with the re-gear I added Air lockers front and rear, went with a 4.88 ratio but 5.29 may be better. Air locker have been rock solid, can lock up with no creep just the rear in 2WD if I want. all 4 in 4H and 4L not an option with the stock e-locker. All told around the price of the Off Road package but I don't get the MTS. On board Air is nice

    Great set up, what are your 6112's running at regarding the clip level? I am going with level 6/5 with the 600lb springs but it sounds like this is quite a rough ride. With a lower clip level and 650lb springs what was your lift? Also, did you consider a 1/4 spacer lift for the 6112 set up?

    • @seekopenair
      @seekopenair  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jon! Delayed response here my bad but I’m at clip 4/3 with 650lb springs. Ride is amazing, a little stiff as the higher spring rate is meant for more weight and the weight isn’t quite on the truck yet. I will most likely bump up to 5/4 once I get the number and winch on if that helps give perspective! I’ve thought about the spacer and might do that as I have them already instead of increasing the clip but we will see.

    • @MrJanders80
      @MrJanders80 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@seekopenair I actually took my spacer out and went down to 5/4. This was a vast improvement in overall ride quality. The truck currently sits at about a 2" lift which is perfect for what I am looking for. Bilstein seems to be on the low end regarding what lift you will get per clip setting.

      @@seekopenair how much lift did you get on the 4/3 clip with the heavier coil ? I'm on the fence about getting the heavier coil from the start with no extra weight.

    Can you give us a run down on the mirror turn signals. Always wanted to do that mod but I never understood where or how to start and where to source appropriate parts for it

    • @seekopenair
      @seekopenair  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah! Seems to be a common question so I’ll make a short video about them but essentially I bought knock off OEM mirrors, grabbed some 12 gauge automotive wire and first tapped into the blinker of each head light, ran the wire through the firewall into the cab and then into each door. Mounted the new mirrors and figured out which wires I needed to tap into on the harness and that’s it! I’ll have to take off everything to see which exact wires they are but video to come! Here is one of the mirrors for example: www.autozone.com/collision-body-parts-and-hardware/mirror-assembly/keystone-collision-mirror-assembly-to1321349/19891_0_0
      Much more expensive than when I did it a few years ago but if you browse around you can find them cheaper just be sure they included heated mirrors/ blind spot monitoring if you have it.
