I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

@Swede Okay, so let's go through some fact you thick headed jimbo. Poetic edda snorri were both written in icelandic. Therefore icelandic is the original language used in old norse theory. In iceland "thor" is pronounced "for/foor" and in swedish "tor" but both Swedish/Norwegian/Danish have their own versions but none of them are the original spelling. Now you're gotten a free lesson in old norse history. Be happy.
@Swede Maybe you should learn to spell before saying people's facts are wrong. It's honestly painful how bad you are at spelling. and I get english probably isn't you're first language but if you are going to write a paragraph long reply at least spell the words right.

The song is fantastic as it speaks about what is our main problem on earth. But as for the way this guy has done it: it's amazing in his sensitivity, sharpness and mood.This guy is one of the biggest talents that have been shown on this program! And as you said at the end: what a control for the last vibrato. Not sharp not flat: perfect and his rocky voice is so sweet! The talent of that guy is amazing. Goose pops for everyone!

Yes, he's famous in Sweden, but he deserves international fame, am I wrong?
That's become more of a minus than a plus online. People feel he's being disingenuous about his background, but in reality it's the show's fault. They invited him to the US-version and forced him to play the part so to speak. Sure, he came on it of his own free will, but still.
In relation to the video here, things like this is a good reason to dislike these shows like Rebecca refers to. There's plenty of other reasons though.

I would recommend watching some of his previous performances on Swedish idol, wicked game for example, or take me to church.
He does write his own music, just search up his name on Spotify and you’ll find it

With what you have taught me since I subscribed to your channel, I hear songs in such a different way. There are so many added techniques that add so much to the delivery of a song. WOW ! speaking of doing covers your own way, A Perfect Circle (Maynard from Tool on vocals) has an album called Emotive that is entirely covers (including Imagine), all done very differently from the originals.

I agree, he seems like a great guy. That was a very good cover. He did an original in his judges cuts which was brilliant but way too short. Not sure if they edited but it was only about a minute. Definitely check it out!

Rebecca, I love your critiques. You are so articulate and even when the style or song might not be your favorite you still give a fair and honest critique, never mean spirited and I like that. 👍
He is an interesting example of the fact that you should never give up. He tried out for Swedish Idol 3 times and failet in various levels of the show. The 4th time he had found his style, technique and the kind of music he wanted to play and sing and won. He kept going for all that time by playing every gig he could find and working ordinary jobs. If anyone is interested ...here is a video of all 4 of his auditions during a time span of 7 years.

Ohh...and yes...he has released his own stuff too...he is actually pretty good. His brother makes the videos on his TH-cam page. He has had a couple of no1 hits in Sweden.
When I was about 13 and anxious about a social event my mother gave me some advice. She said I would be fine, just go out and don't be myself.
