- Рота Почетного караула ВС СССР (1971г). This 1971 documentary film gives us a short inside look at the Soviet military honor guard service. All three USSR military branches, Army, Air Force, and Navy have their own honor guard companies. In addition to guarding monuments, and being present during special holidays and ceremonies, the honor guard unit of the Moscow Garrison would always be present at airport tarmacs to greet important foreign guests.

I was in the Honor Guard of the Argentine Federal Police, force that I still belong to (and until retirement if possible). We performed ceremonial activities, parades and the funeral services for agents fallen in the line of duty. I'm proud to have taken part of it and often miss it.
What has it got to do with the Soviet Honour Guard?
@@kissthis5361 nothing, he just saying that he was also the part of the Honor Guard, which means he proud of it because serving to the Nation and the People of the Argentine, same as the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republic too.

I miss the old '70s and '80s Soviet uniforms. Way better than the modern Russian uniforms, in my opinion.

I agree, but some people like their cucumbers pickled- I wouldn't know.
In my opinion soviet formal uniform is better than Russian one and Russian combat uniform is better than Soviet one

Помню от соли китель когда высыхал как панцирь был. Когда на карантине были сержанты говорили кто в рпк попадет вешайтесь я тогда не понимал что это очень сильный труд на плацу с утра до обеда.

If you would read the subtitles at the end of film, you could understand the film is student's study project.

Does anyone think today's U.S. Military forces could of defeated Russian forces of this older era? Then annexed Russian territory? 2018 U.S. military vs 1970 Russian military on Russian land. ??
No way! The 1970s Soviet Army was made up of committed, patriotic, well trained communist soldiers who ready to fight to the last man. Whereas today's US Army is made up of entititled, SJW Millenials. Those Soviet soldiers would grind those so-called US soldiers to dust.
