So glad I didn’t listen to all the pundits blowing smoke up O’Malleys ass 😂 trusted my gut, and went with Merab in my Stake parley instead. This fight was like David vs Goliath, and once again history repeats itself 👏
Even though Merab is boring to watch, his style of fighting always had good chances against O'Malley.

O'Malley looked way slower than he normally does, and merab controlled the distance so well
O'Malley was too scared to throw anything out there. He didn't even try to counter attack when Merab charged at him. O'Malley got exposed in the Yan fight and Merab just went full on as he always does.

When you're facing a dangerous grappler as a striker you objectively become a worse striker because you have a split focus and you can't expose yourself to the takedown.
If Sean would have opened up more he would have gotten taken down even more than he already did.

I know Merab is on another level, but O'Malley seemed like he hadn't trained for a grappler. He wasn't even trying to counter attack when Merab would run in. He seemed really anxious at the face offs while Merab seemed super relaxed. I think deep down he knew he had a punchers chance or he was screwed as much as he tried to convince himself otherwise.
