You will come to know there are several Feds you can trust in this life:
      1. The Federal Reserve
      2. Fedora hats (very stylish)
      3. Roger Federer
      Thats it.

it is about knowing the odds of the next shot after u hit yours (how good or how bad). If u hit a good cross court shot, there are high chances u will get a ball cross court.

Now, I'm trying to learn to play tennis, and I sort of can imagine and see how hard it is to play tennis like Federer. Look at all the footwork, movemnet, set-up and ball contact.

I cry every time i realize his era is gone. Forever. The beaty and aesthetic of his game is unparalleled, and his volleys, anticipation, IQ, dominance, the game has a huge void , shoes nobody will be able to fill. Not alcaraz, texthispops, zverev, nobody. His aestheticlly perfect form and artistry is gone. Damn its sad. But glad i got into tennis back in 2015 to see his comeback. Amazing. Glad we have youtube for highlights of your career federer.

    • @Mago.-
      @Mago.- 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@OReazor doesnt matter what Novak does, he will never be aknowledged as the goat, due to his lack of competition on the era he dominated.
He is THE man to beat since 2011, right? Well, he is been playing since 2003. Yes 2000 and fucking 3. He needed almost 20 years to reach top of the iceberg.
Roger dominated in 2003 till 2010. With nadal being the king of clay and an ocasional wimbledon title contender as shown in 2008 battle vs Roger. But Rafa was always under rogers shadow, but he had rogers cell phone (slang for "key of victory" vs roger) 2008 2010 where Rafas bests years outside clay.
Roger between 2011 and 2015 had back and knee injury problems. But as soon as he took time out in 2016, he came back and DOMINATED 2017 2018, being over 35 yo. Novak is the best, when no-one is around. Dont get me wrong, is more than likely that novak will eventually get more gs than roger, thats almost a fact. But see, for a player of the longevity of Novak, being able to dominate only the years no one is around him, that does not speak well for him.
Roger had to beat: Rafa, Prime Roddick (probably the best server of all time with karlovic) Prime davidenko, prime Safin, prime Nalbandian (the only guy to defeat roger at a atp wt finals finals) Prime Ferrer, and i can go on.
Novak, he only had to deal with rafa on clay. And when roger was healthy, he always got slaped. Novak is the example of longevity, and self superation, but not the example of domination, unlike roger and rafa, which both of them had eras of clear domination.
And dont get me wrong, i love novak, cause i hate rafa, and i love to see novak destroy rafa, but im no retarded to try and cover the sun with a finger.

I'm also a Federer fan, but come on, saying something like that is completely absurd. Nadal is the best clay player ever by a huge margin! (also, he "got lucky against Federer" five times in a row?)

You have a valid argument given that he is using a one handed backhand that represents 99.91 percent of tennis history. Two handed backhands are a consolation tool for those less talented to be able to compete with the likes of Sampras, Laver, Federer and was allowed by Professional tennis management, along with various technical advancements. Different sports managing bodies constantly calculate the viability of the various changes presented through the years snd either accommodate or ban or repeal as needed.
Federer stands out as the only player is the history of the sport who has and would dominate completely in his prime in every rendition of the sport of tennis, and would have 60 plus majors if the managing bodies hadn’t intervened to increase diversification of his competition.
Following the historical significance of the one handed backhand, it could be argued that the two hand backhand is far easier to use, essentially using an aid(cheating) and it’s use could be repealed. There is of course to much money at stake. Use of long putters was eventual banned in golf as it was deemed to fundamentally remove an integral part of the challenge of golf, which is what the allowance of the two handed backhand has done.
If the sport of tennis reissued the requirement for the one handed backhand as a way to reintroduce or restate the prime challenges that are integral to the game, it would be interesting to see what would happed to Nadal and Dj and a host of others who used the easiest technique currently allowable under the rules. Add to that a reduction in spin allowable would introduce a whole host of challenges that used to be a large part of the sport.

Now I understand why some people call fed fans "fedtards". Fed fan here, and I don't know what's going on in your mind, but you are either completely high or completely stupid.

@@thebeardedgolfer9819 two handed backhand has its pros and cons, it is in no way a cheat or an aid. Just look at Wawrinka, Gasquet or 2017 federer who did tremendous things with a their backhand that a two handed backhand could never realize. If you play tennis you know that by using both hands, you get power more easily for strikes at shoulder level : but with one hand it's is easier to release your strength and momentum when striking under the shoulder.
I agree that the one handed backhand is more stylistic and requires more practice to be mastered, thus making the player more worthy imo. But it doesn't mean all players should use it. I think it brings variety to the game, and if everyone used 1 hand it would become boring. We would lose this feeling of rare pearl that we get when seeing a player executing a superb one handed backhand.
Nadal based his game on the huge spin effect he puts in his forehand, making it his best shot, and not on his two handed backhand which he has improved over the years. I don't think forcing the 1handed version for everyone would have affected his status, considering how a determined fighter and a beast of a learner he is.

@@thebeardedgolfer9819 and reducing the spin effect allowable is a dreadful idea. Spin is not a cheat, it's a work. Nadal did not get it in one snap, and if Federer practiced more today well maybe he would succeed more. I'm a Federer fan but seeing these fanatic behaviors I understand why you are not appreciated by Novak and Rafa fans. At the end of the day you're just looking for excuses to justify your champion's inferiority. Poor attitude.
