Sorting out final design stuff, and going to run a lion energy xp for the electrical system ( 24v solar panels, means i can charge while driving) and its a whole lot cheaper than building a custom system. I'll keep you posted if you like?!
I'm a big fan and my son and are thinking of building a square drop camper so I've watched all of your build videos and working on watching all the other ones. I'll rewatch the series again and try to sketch it up but I was wondering if you published any drawings showing the dimensions, like for the depth of the rear storage compartment, etc. Thank you so much for the videos!
Hey thank you so much for watching the videos! I appreciate the support. I unfortunately don't have any drawings of the camper. A lot of the stuff I decided as I went along. Like the size of the rear storage compartment. Basically, I knew that I wanted a queen sized mattress in the cabin, so I measure for that and the rear storage space was just whatever was leftover. I hope your build is going well!
Funke! Yes. Great job even for losing the footage. Have you looked at an ABS double cable entry gland for your solar cables into the trailer? Those always give me more peace of mind.
I’ve lost so much footage recently. I know that it is on my hard drives but then I’ll check back on them and it will be gone 🤦♂️ That ABS gland is a good idea. I’ll look into it.
Why dont people use 1/2- 3/4 hdpe sheets for the bottom flooring of the builds? has it been tested? seems like a pure win to me the extra cost vs rot proof and extremely durable also all the time saved not weather proofing the bottom.
I have decided to build a trailer similar to yours. Can you tell me what plans (if any) you used? I can find tons of plans for a teardrop 4x8 but I really cant find simple plans for a square drop. Any advise ? I already have my 4x8 trailer. Thanks.
Have you weighed the finished trailer? If so, how heavy was it? I am limited on my tow capacity, so I need to ensure it stays below 1500 lbs so I can haul stuff with it. Thanks and good series.

How long is the distance between the trailer hitch to the wall of the camper?
How is the trailer holding up?

This one is below 1400 lbs. My Tacoma hauls it no problem. I would haul it with my CRV too if I needed.
