This is the best video that shows you how to replace the headband, Wow I can't believe how easy & quick this was! Thank you so much! I ordered the headband from Amazon for like $12 it looks exactly the same & I was done by the time this video was almost over. There's other videos out there that talk about removing the ear pad, wires soldering ect...none of that is needed if your bracket broke & the earpad is dangling! Maybe that's if no sound is coming from the headphones but definitely not required to do all that just for the bracket. Thanks a lot fix it planet!
Glad I found this video. I bought some Studio 2s odd eBay, but the seller didn’t tell me the headband was broken. Luckily I had a pair of Studio 3s laying around that I could take the headband off those and put it on the 2s. The 2s sound way better than the 3s.
This helps me out sooo much . I thought my beats studio3 wireless was broke and I gave up on them for about 3 months, but now I know I just have to replace the headband, thanks so much!!💯🔥 SUBSCRIBED
Fixed my 10 year anniversary studio 3s thanks to you. Only thing different is the headband I ordered is black and gold instead of red. This opens up a lot of possibilities for how I want to customize them in the future though. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. After seeing all the videos about the broken headbands I come to the conclusion that all companies e.g. Sony, Bose, Klipsch, Beats etc. built their products on purpose to brake after a short while. Costumer should expose this company philosophy over and over again.
It's easier to assemble the rubber and foam piece together before snapping the assembly into the new headband. Also, the wire needs to go between the splits in the rubber at both ends so that it will lay flat with the new headband.
are the same parts. I exchanged plastic and I have the same problem, but I have studio 3 or if I buy studio 2, the plastic that you mentioned will fit if there is a difference in parts
I have a beats solo 3 and usually you have the clicks when you extend your headphones, I have one side that does that and the other side just slides smooth without any clicking. Plz help.
thanks for the vid..do you have any idea how to install the metal hinges if they have broken loose. i was planning to buy a new set of metal hinges on ebay but i dont know how to install them..thanks
Depends on the model some just snap in place, others have screws. Some hinges come attached to the metal that slides up and down inside the bezels for the ear speaker and require separating the bezel to install.
i have already bought the metal hinges only the one with no metal sliders attached. my next problem is how to slide in the flat cable that connects the 2 headphones..bec i noticed that the flat cable goes thru the metal frame which i can see is fixed. so im assuming i have to find a way to disassemble the headset to unattach the cable..im purely assuming here so id appreciate it really if you could teach me how..thanks!
If the hinge piece has no slot for the cable to insert, then the cable has to be fed in thru the opening. That would require some soldering to get the wires disconnected at one end and taking apart one side or the other to gain access to the ends of the cable. Alternatively you can cut the wire in the middle and solder them back once you have the hinge in place the latter is the easiest because the wires are color coded.
Thanks but what "other pieces" are you referring to? Are they for the same model in this vid? Can you describe them? Did they come with the hinges and screws? I'm not sure what you mean.
mine broke in the exact same way in the exact same place, cant believe that the whole headband is supported by a small cheap piece of plastic! i paid $700 for these ffs!
I wish someone had warned me to be extra gentle when putting the new headband in because it was sharing space with the hinge pin because now the hinge pin broke 🥲 I’m also confused about why it was so difficult to put the wire back into its home (forgot the name). The wire was so excessively long I had to bend a bunch for 15 minutes.
Ok... the reason is because the wire is stretched. Or at least the slack has been pulled. Just deal with it, or adjust the slack in the cable. As far as the headband goes..... seriously i don't know what your referring to... maybe there is broken bits left in the hinge bracket preventing the new headband from seating flush idonno
where can i purchase the headband, i bought one in ebay, but really bad quality, is there anyone know where can i bought headband like original headband???
If you want original then you have to search online or Ebay and specify original. Most will be used because original parts are likley pulled from original headphones and cost more than aftermarket replacements.
thanks for the video! however still got an unusual issue with mine. I have taken 3 out of the 4 screws out and the last one is so loose that no screwdriver can unscrew it :( so the broken bit is still stuck on the bottom part screwed in. Is there any way I can solve this frustrating task?
hey can I get a email a friend broke thr part of the beats that say studio on the side and I'm. Not sure If I need to replace the headband or the hinges can you give. Me. your email and I'll send you a. picture of the situation so you can help me out deciding whether or not it's a hinge or headband problem
Ok you didn't mention your model or what's wrong with them. You may have to buy a used pair with some other problem than your's has and swap parts if you can't find the specific part your looking for.
Beats Studio 2 are the Worst purchase I’ve ever made. Headband snapped twice already, cushions disintegrated after two years. Totally overpriced garbage. Apple should be sued for fraud!
Guess I disagree with most folks here. This is the worst vid on this repair I have seen as yet. Working on someone else's device sick and "not paying attention". The process order was not the best at all. As far as band selection, these are all over the place and easy to match. There are a number of great vids on this repair that are excellent. I would advise viewers to search for them and see this done professionally. There is no need redoing any part of this process when done correctly to begin with. Not being mean, just is what it is. Hope you got to feeling better.
What kind of repair is this thr ruber part has two tabs and the cable must go in between so you must take the part of the metal parts on both hinges so the headband wontlook all bubbled up ive seen better repair videos lol
Yoh, I really needed this! Was super stressed. Thought I’d have to buy new ones. 🙏🏾 thank you.

Glad I found this video. I bought some Studio 2s odd eBay, but the seller didn’t tell me the headband was broken. Luckily I had a pair of Studio 3s laying around that I could take the headband off those and put it on the 2s. The 2s sound way better than the 3s.

studio 2 .....the best headphones i've ever had before
Awesome video. You just prevented me from ordering a hinge which would not have fixed my problem. Thank you.
That's great!
How did you know if you needed to replace the hinge or headband...I'm in the same predicament. My right one is hanging by that 1 flat wire
Heads up solid video, just got the parts needed to fix this... it looks pretty easy.
Thank you!
You helped me fix my beats! Thanks man for an awesome video
Glad to hear it!
This was great nut when I was realigning the hinge, the two metal clips fell out. Is there an exploded view of how to put back in?
Same 😔 except mine snapped in half
Fixed my 10 year anniversary studio 3s thanks to you. Only thing different is the headband I ordered is black and gold instead of red. This opens up a lot of possibilities for how I want to customize them in the future though. Thanks!
Thanks from South Texas. I fixed mine. Be blessed
Thank you for this, very helpful.

Fixed mine thanks for this video made it way easier
The plastic end of the headband is stuck inside of the area where it says “beats”. Is there anything I can try...
Did you remove the screws? Did you put glue on it? if there is glue then you will have to drill it out.
one of my screws thread is bad not being able to unscrew it (most likely factory defect) any ideas on how to remove it?
It's easier to assemble the rubber and foam piece together before snapping the assembly into the new headband. Also, the wire needs to go between the splits in the rubber at both ends so that it will lay flat with the new headband.
How do I know if I need to replace the headband or hinge? My right side is hanging by that 1 wire
Cheers fella you saved my BEATS from the bin..
Is there any metal after market headbands so it doesn't break again?
I haven't seen any but someone out there could custom make one, that's what it needs for sure.
Hey sir hi u doing how much will it cost to fix my headphones the headband broke
WHat kind of screws are need to repair the band. I ordered a replacement headband and they screws were too big.
Kayla Farrell same here. The screws won’t go all the way back in.
are the same parts. I exchanged plastic and I have the same problem, but I have studio 3 or if I buy studio 2, the plastic that you mentioned will fit if there is a difference in parts
There is plastic in my hinge so I can’t bend it. Any tips?

I have a beats solo 3 and usually you have the clicks when you extend your headphones, I have one side that does that and the other side just slides smooth without any clicking. Plz help.

Great Video! Question... I received the hinge, screws and was wondering what the other pieces are used for.
Thanks but what "other pieces" are you referring to? Are they for the same model in this vid? Can you describe them? Did they come with the hinges and screws? I'm not sure what you mean.
Thank you very much
mine broke in the exact same way in the exact same place, cant believe that the whole headband is supported by a small cheap piece of plastic! i paid $700 for these ffs!

Is the lose size adjustment thing intentional or just broken .-.
How much do you all charge for a standard repair ?
Thank you! worked perfectly :)
Great!
How do you fix the hinges?
very helpful👍 how much is the headband?
Thank you!!!! Just fix my headphones
This is great. Big Thumbs up!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Before I watched this I tried to use super glue now I have the u in studio is halfway gone from me trying to scrape it off
What if part of the headband got stuck in the hinge?
If it is stuck because of glue then it will have to be drilled out. Whatever it takes it has to be removed.
Fix It Planet how would it get drilled out? Like take the screws out? I did that and nothing happened
Good stuff here.
Thank you
What is the exact product name that you used?(Link if you can)
Does this work on beats solo 3s
I wish someone had warned me to be extra gentle when putting the new headband in because it was sharing space with the hinge pin because now the hinge pin broke 🥲

The bottom half of my beats cracked and I would love to see you repair that.
how do i get super glue out of the beats henge
I usually drill it out but you may be able to use super glue debonder like this amzn.to/2sgYQoj
where can i purchase the headband, i bought one in ebay, but really bad quality, is there anyone know where can i bought headband like original headband???

Where are you located ?
Do you know the code for the beats solo 2 wireless headband?
What do you mean by "code"? Search the internet for Solo 2 replacement headband. Try Ebay or Amazon.

That's a whole other problem that requires taking the entire headset apart.
Not bad very cool
thanks for the video! however still got an unusual issue with mine. I have taken 3 out of the 4 screws out and the last one is so loose that no screwdriver can unscrew it :( so the broken bit is still stuck on the bottom part screwed in. Is there any way I can solve this frustrating task?

Dude did you really just take a hit of a vape mid video lmao?
Great video, I accidentally broke my sons. What type of screwdriver was it?
Usually T-5 or maybe T-3 If you don't have that a very small flat-head will probably work too. ;)
merciiii
vous êtes le bienvenu
nice video and I only pay $12 for the broken part
Can u tell me were you got the parts
Just search on Ebay or Amazon for starters. Then there are several independent suppliers if you search online for replacement parts.
Can't find it
There all over Ebay...not that hard to find. Studio 2.0 replacement headband. B0501 or B0500 fits either one.
I need solo 3 parts
Ok you didn't mention your model or what's wrong with them. You may have to buy a used pair with some other problem than your's has and swap parts if you can't find the specific part your looking for.
MY KIT CAME WITH DOUBLE THE GLUE SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT HOURS FOR IT TO ADHERE IT WAS MORE LIKE SEC. TO MIN.
The part where you tuck in the rubber band is really confusing
🙌🏼
Using mine rn that have this problem 🤣
