There's "going into retail blind", and then there's "going into retail blind with a chat information dumping on you"
going fully blind is arguably worse considering where you are expected to level at the start. bfa leveling is a travesty.
Day 9 was really only complaing about how the story was hard to understand in retail. Shortly after the clip someone asked if he is going back to classic since he likes it better than retail and he goes "when did I say I liked classic better!?" But that was edited out of the viral clip that got put on reddit and all the react guys watched because Retail bad
That's not even it. It was there was no context to understand any of the story at that point and none of it was relevant to playing. He wanted to do stuff and hit buttons, and the beginning of the BFA is like 90% cutscenes and dialogue with no gameplay where you actually learn to do things.

started playing arenas regularly with my brother for the first time ever in cata and im having some of the most fun ive ever had in wow
You also have to kinda know/guess/learn from experience how far can mob run without resetting and remember when you pulled each mob from...its not easy for new players. He is doing fine I guess.
The Keeshan (Rambo) chain was one of the more fun things from Cata. Add in the horde's sort of version in Stonetalon which I thought were even better, and it's what made me keep going into Cata classic.

I never did use control or shift. I just use 1-7, F1-F5, Q, W, E, R, T, and my corsair scimitar with it's 12 buttons.
this is the first player experience that i will never experience anymore 😅
He should try dot lock next. I found questing far more enjoyable in vanilla and BC on my warlock. My first toon (shaman) felt like such a slog. The epic feeling 1v1 requiring lots of time drinking between pulls made gameplay feel slow. With lock though, nothing was more chaotic and fun than kiting, fearing, dotting enemies, while praying the demon voidwalker will stop being a pathing idiot! It feels amazing to survive against so many enemies at once. Exciting as the dots are, it's nowhere close to the quick XP grind available to a mage.
Honestly you can see a bit of every player's first experience here, and that makes it enjoyable because bro is just having fun with it. Moving new things on your bar and forgetting where other things are, miscalculating how far you have to be from a rooted mob, almost getting away just to be hit by that last incoming ranged attack, running from murlocs by going in the water... think people got too touchy about his first impression. Dude just wanted to cast spells and not listen to characters yap lol

Double-dare you to level 1 to what, 70 now is it? Without any help, or using the know-how, but acting as a brand new clueless player.
i literally didnt think it was possible to die to 6 mobs at that level
it is. I think he has no heirlooms, just questing gear. Some specs are really squishy, especially if you lvl up faster than upgrade your gear, my moonkin was really bad for example.
I don't have any friends in wow or life.

Day 1000 is when he plays hardore wow only. In retail elites at same level as you are the normal mobs in classic , and its still not dangerous enough for me to play retail.
I dont think classic is dangerous, combat per mob is about 15 seconds so if thats what counts as thrilling, idk.
