    i don't think it will effect it to much. people are forgetting that there is a way to play 3rd strike online through the 30th anniversary collection, yet fightcade is still the most popular method. also it isn't like fightcade is doing numbers in grand scheme of things. i might see about 300 people on at most.

    kudos to capcom, they finally doing things right! but, fightcade ain’t going no where.
    while capcom is massive with fighters and brawlers on fightcade, there are some missing titles.
    then you got your snk fighters & brawlers that are also highly active with players.
    when capcom collection 1 first came out. 2 weeks later fightcade still active with players.

      By that logic, Fightcade would have gone out of business in 2019 when the street fighter 30th anniversary collection came out. I'm all for fighting collections and MVC2, Xmen COTA, , all of it being more accessible to the general public. However there's so many upsides to Fightcade. It's still got rollback netcode, It's going to have the the most competitive community (especially since there's no cross play with the collection). It runs on a potato. It's aslo got an insane community for other games. There's a king of fighters 94 community, there's windjammers, there's turfmasters.. It goes on forever

    • @ToshisGarden
      @ToshisGarden 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @birdman4birdlegs Unfortunately, it's also got an incredibly toxic community that constantly dumps on companies like Capcom and (more importantly) anyone who chooses to play on console or buy these collections. They judge people for not using Fightcade and many of its users speak with this "air of superiority" towards people that don't use the service. It's not *every* Fightcade user (some are pretty cool), but it's more than enough to actuvely make people NOT want to use the service.

    If thirdstrike gets a better version eventually that eclipses the netcode and emulation of fightcade then the fc comminity will suffer. I can understand where you are coming from. Your statement makes sense when you look at all this stuff on paper. It comes down to the wants and needs of the player. For some people they get what they want from FC and its online community. I have said it before but I think a lot of the success of these collections will come from how much continuous support they receive from not only the fans but Capcom. I think it's an excellent alternative for those who either don't own a PC, have trouble installing or just don't like playing against the hardcore scene on FC.

    • @ToshisGarden
      @ToshisGarden 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @GamerGee See, this is my problem with people who use Fightcade. Fightcade itself is fine as a platform, and I'm happy it exists. Don't insult people who either choose not to use Fightcade or CAN'T use Fightcade. Some people might be incredibly skilled at fighting games, but have IRL circumstances that keep them from being able to use Fightcade. Even worse are the people who insult the companies who are actually trying to throw fans a bone by rereleasing games like what Capcom's doing, or hate on companies for continuing to support a series by giving it things like a new installment. Again, it's FINE to like what you like, but bringing down other people like that or hating on something that other people love like that just to be the "cool edgy guy who doesn't support businesses" is so toxic and childish.
