15 years since the production of the fourth generation Legacy ended and still, as I look around me, at all the cars that have been produced since then, including the next generations of the Legacy, I don't see a replacement. So I keep and refresh my 04 wagon and add another one, exactly like this, an 09 .and since I am already 59 years old, they will probably last with me until the end... as long as it is possible to get parts...
I'm with you. I cannot find a better car. I daily drive a manual 2008 Legacy Outback 2.5 XT. I was pretty sure I was going to import a version 4 JDM GC8 WRX STi, but after having lived with this incredible Legacy, I'm reconsidering which car I want to import as my weekend / rally / fun car. I'm now looking for a B4 Blitzen lol. My wife has come to love my Outback so much that she's now changed her mind from originally wanting a RAV4 to an Outback as well. These cars are just incredible. They do everything well and tick every major box for car guys like you and me. Cheers 🍻
I had a manual 05 outback XT I sold last year and regret it so much. It was only 312 hp to the wheels, but with bc coilovers, upgraded sway bars, control arms, bushings etc, it handled so damn good. Just a fun car
My current daily is a diamond gray 5MT 2008 Legacy Outback 2.5 XT Limited, and I wouldn't trade this car for anything. I'm sitting in it right now, allowing the fluids to cool a bit before my next run through my local fun driving spot. I'm going to clean it up and take a couple of quick videos to post for a few new YT friends to check out. Gimme a day or two and check back with me and I should have them up. Cheers 🍻
This is peak Subaru Legacy/Liberty. Before Subaru of America demanded they change the Outback/Legacy/Liberty to be less sporty and more of a large family SUV sedan or crossover/suv wagon thingy. The closest thing the Subaru has now to this is the Levorg which is the spiritual successor the bl/bp and previous Legacy/Liberty models.
I had the RB wagon 6 cyl 6 speed manual for 18 years without a single issue, only sold it because it was going to outlast me. 3 years on and i cant see a good option to replace it
I know it's pretty unusual but it'd be pretty cool to see your thoughts on the Nissan X-Trail GTs that they have for sale... We have a pretty unique AUDM X-Trail for comparison as well...

Lovely i have a 04 GT wagon in the shed and a STI 08 liberty GT wagon as a daily, super fun cars
Best Legacy from Subaru... Shame there is no sporty Legacy today...
Ageing populations around the world have dampened the demand for new performance cars sadly
@@farnarkleboy what? Ok 😂
Liberty GT Spec B Tuned by STI I s.y daily and I love the liberties. S402 would be awesome!!!

I have a Liberty like this but with the 6 cylinder engine. It's great!

if you really need a SUV but want STi goodies there is the Subaru Forester STi variant.
The MY 04 to 06 was the only years it had the STi variant
I think the front diff is less sporty in these (Lib/Leg 6 speeds), compared to WRX STi, which would explain the less eager turn in
Can you review a Forester STI
Never seen 1 b4 😮

I would I’ve to see a galant gtz twin turbo awd they made.
Shame what the Legacy has become when they used to make these
It would have been better to review the car on its own merits rather than comparing it to the wrx.
Lovely! I currently have white s402 saloon! If anyone would be interested il be looking to sell soon(UK Based)
