Cold steel is probably the best price/quality balance I have ever seen on the knife market. Their blades are original, have a wide variety of style and shapes and uses, sturdy, easy to care and cheap. Perfect brand for self defense, collection, edc and urban activity. For outdoor activity, schrade is cold steel partner in crime. Cheap and sturdy blades that goes from the folding knife to the machete passing by the hatchet.
@jeffcon123 I snapped off ab an inch of an srk tip while throwing it, it's not meant for throwing but every other knife I've thrown really isn't either many from cold steel too srk was the only one that snapped got a few after n they didn't j thought it was strange that one did
@@vladtheimpaler6 oh ya I’ve heard their quality control is hit or miss in some cases.. when you heat treat so many blades at once.. they can check the microstructure of a lot.. so a bunch of substandard ones would slip through.. they have a good policy tho.. I’ve returned a few and never had any issues
I am a big cold steel fan. Have a bunch of their big blades and am very happy with them, unfortunately I’ve heard they went big big business route and QC is suffering
it's decent, I believe they use d2 on those which holds a good edge but the trade off I that it's hard to sharpen and if it's heat treated towards the upper range it's edge holding increases but the steel becomes more brittle making cracks and chips in the edge under hard use a possibility so It just depends on what you plan to do with it
I bought my kobun brand new for $10 best stupid knife I’ve ever bought. Completely impractical for my day to day use. It does ride nice iwb though. So I like to keep it around for just in case.
That SPEW is perfect for that plastic product package, light cardboard packages, letters, fine whittling. That's about it. I wouldn't want it to be my only weapon.
I’ve carried the SOG instinct for 5 years now. Let me tell you what that’s the best and most useful $30 investment I’ve ever made. I use that blade at least 5 times a day for silly little tasks at work lol
The SRK is a solid choice 😎🔥, They also make the same knife 🔪 in San Mai but cost 3 times the price. Kershaw is my go to for the price and quality 🇺🇸😎!
I have used and abused an srk for a very long time. Sometimes trying to see if i coulr hurt it. And its still perfect. For the price i dont think theres a tougher knife.
Mora Companion…? Got one last week and ordered another yesterday. Just can’t beat them for that price. I understand the video states $25-$50 and I haven’t watched other videos from this channel where coulda been mentioned so this could just be my ignorance and y’all wasted your reading until here. BUCK 119 SPECIAL $70 AT WALMART AND IS THE SMALLER KNIFE FROM SCREAM IVE BOUGHT TWO AND ITS NOT BECAUSE ITS A BAD KNOFE, I SOLD MY FIRST ONE FOR 60 AND GOT A NEW ONE FOR CHRISTMAS

I recently got the instinct, heard folks were having drawing issues, i never had that. Like lots of companies I feel like it’s a hit or miss. I also saw someone complain about how it didn’t come sharpened…. Like “You don’t fucking say?”
@reztactical the fact that I have to sharpen and strop the knife when I get it right out of the box is already a loss, and if I need it in a pinch and didn't know to sharpen it out of the box is not a good look. SRK comes very sharp out of the box, no stropping,no Sharpening, no bullshit.
@@drwhite7285 I personally would not like to be sliced taking a knife out of a box i don’t know. That’s just me though, I have the means to sharpen and i find it satisfying so it’s no issue.
Why on earth did crkt call it the Spew? I handled a cold steel that was made after cold steel sold and Lynn Thompson was out. Made in china and not too impressive in build.
Literally those are not popular anymore. All of these are premium knife steels that'll hold an edge for a super long time. I have the medford fighter and that one isn't going to be gone for the next couple of generations. Cost was high but oh well, so is the cost of living. Just don't be like me who's a knife collector, I truly recommend Esee 6 or Esee 5. Buy one and stop there. The addiction for knives will hit and next thing you know you have a couple thousand dollars worth of a knife collection like me. I still have all the modern day CPM 3V steel knives on my list. Also still waiting on more medford knives because those are the best ones you can get today
Ending was just😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯💯truly how it is when a new toy has arrived
The clamshell packaging is worth more than the contents. Just return it.

I agree cold steel makes awesome stuff for insanely cheap, i gift those srks to family and friends all the time, the compact one is like 35 bucks

i fcking love cold steel❤
Me to over 60 pcs of Cold Steel lol
Definitely
The SRK really is a great knife. It's like a sharpened crow bar.
I found the leatherneck-sf by cold steel, any idea if it’s a good knife?

Kbr tdi for the win . Knife designed to use while battling for your holstered weapon . Absolute beast for its purpose
Great knife. Glad i bought one
Love the spew infact I bought two

Don’t know about popular but the cold steel spike knives are really good especially for hunting and light utility

Frustration free packaging!!! If only I had a knife, but the knife’s in the package 😂
The Kershaw is something I'd keep on my all the time
I'd choose (& have chosen) the Mora Companion as the best blade for tge buck since 1999. The SRK is a great (tactical) knife for the money as well!
I just picked up my first CRKT a week ago and I’m absolutely loving it💯
Loved mine so much, bought two. M16 series
I have the spew and the srk...both are great knives
i have the CRKT its honestly my fav knife to use, i carry it everywhere i go. (just not where i cant take it) best knife i have ever owned.
I've been really satisfied with my outdoor edge pivot as a fixed blade EDC
I have the mora eldris, kabar TDI and sog instinct . Love them all. Mora is my favorite tho
I have a Brarvagur Knife with a Kydex sheath. Sharp af and the best knife I've ever owned.

Check harbor freight if you have one for the little sog at the end, got one for 20 on sale
SPEW is garbage I had one. Gave it away. SRK is one of my favorites.
Why is the SPEW garbage? I have one and it’s been great. Perfect concealed scout carry fixed blade🤷♂️
Srk £150 sterling in the UK
Thanks I thought I was having a stroke the first 10 seconds of the video

Kershaw not being a slave to Cali-phony-a, and putting the second edge on the Secret Agent, like a proper defense tool would have, is missing.
Cold Steel SRK5 that's jam😊😊
I don't understand the eldris, it is small but more expensive than a companion or companion hd. That price is what's holding me back.
It’s awesome knife for kindling and fire starting
Anyone know the name of this song
