My brother actually bleached his hair one year and I nearly choked when I saw Vim Fuego..😂. It was a mirror image of my brother..even my hubby couldn't stop laughing 😅😅😅😅
This is up there as some of the best work, if not the best work, that my comedy heroes ever produced. What a difference Peter Richardson makes. They are at the peak of their powers
Can’t help thinking of the young ones and the impact that had on me. British humor was in a class of its own. I thank god I was young when it all happened. Thanks all of you over the pond.
'Burning, looting, rapeing and a shooting'. Genius. Even Slayer couldnt write lyrics that good 😂 Its actually a catchy song. I like that they're all dressed like Motorhead.
Whose still listening to this clasic in 2042? No auto tune, no lip sinking. Just puer tallent! My Uncle Reg loves this song - I sang it at his funeral! Well I did until Aunt Cheryl broke my jaw.
We were metal heads in the mid 80's and we used to drink lots of 'cheap' beer, smoke as much 'expensive' dope as we could afford and laugh our bollox of at Bad news. Great days and a great song. Brings back many 'not' guilty memories.
Got reminded by a friend of this gem. The song itself is actually not half bad. Compared to the utter shite we are constantly fed today this is really refreshing. P.s. I'm old😂
How is it at all possible that this song/video has less than 10K views. That's sacrilegious, especially with those lyrics. You'll never forget them, that's for sure!
Fantastic stuff- the original episode pre-dated Spinal Tap and many of the scenes are just as good if not better. The above "video" with the interview cut in is genius
Spinal Tap origins late 1970s I believe and the film didn't take off instantly, it was a Slow Burn but they made it to SNL and I saw that thankfully, Big Bottom and Christmas with the Devil, I think it was May of 1984
I’ve been looking forward to FINALLY seeing this video ever since I watched it back in the day. Absolutely hilarious 😆- yet a fantastic song! A metal anthem! 👍 Thank you so much!!!
@@katoness spinal tap is a lot more subtle. You have to get into the tap universe to really appreciate the genius. There is loads of back story to the film. Tap have continued since the movie so there's loads of material outside the film. I have to admit I was in stitches last night at the hotel and hospital scene in 'more bad news'
Had the pleasure of seeing them at Monsters of Rock, great laugh, my only memory is Ric asking 'What does a man with a 3 foot c%%k have for breakfast? Well I had a boiled egg this morning' Or words to that effect. Anyway Motorhead were great, and Ozzy was F-ing awesome .
Rik loved that joke…saw him use that in a Bottom blooper reel Then again, this was the man who also sang “So look out you squares…I’m an angry young man! I once showed my Willy to PRINCESS ANNE!” 😂
This version is way better than the album version. Without the faster tempo it doesn't compare. It's a real shame they didn't do a full video of the song this little bit is gold.
As Good as Spinal Tap. Exactly my Humor! In Nuernberg i have a Chance to Get the Album on Vinyl.....not Easy to find in Germany.......i will get it as Soon as i get Back to the City. „Burning Looting Raping Shooting“........Amazing! ✌️😄
I wonder why More Bad News can't be released unedited. On VHS and DVD, it was released from the same edited copy that Channel 4 aired where "fuck" and "fucking" where bleeped out. I also wonder why Channel 4 wanted to air it with bleeps when they aired other stuff back then with bad language.
Ade Edmondson's singing voice sounds like a younger, shy version of Lemmy, just starting his first band.
I still hear Vyvyan
My brother actually bleached his hair one year and I nearly choked when I saw Vim Fuego..😂. It was a mirror image of my brother..even my hubby couldn't stop laughing 😅😅😅😅
As a metal head back in the 80s I can categorically state that Bad News was more true to life (embarrassingly) and funnier than Spinal Tap ever was...
Love SPINAL TAP but these guys are even funnier. I agree.
Facts. What good times the 80s were
This is up there as some of the best work, if not the best work, that my comedy heroes ever produced. What a difference Peter Richardson makes. They are at the peak of their powers
Bang on, Sir. I have been in bands with members who mirror these characters, which makes this even funnier.
@@mike196212 both happened at the same time but Spinal tap released just before this dammit

laughing at Mrs Edmundson telling Mr Edmundson off for the lyrics :D .
sounds like some rappers would do

These guys were brilliant. RIP Rik x
Best metal band ever perhaps

its because channel 4 kept knocking off clips posted here

When my husband showed me the com8c strip presents, team, I could not stop laughing. I remember when they played @ Castle Donnington. 😅😅😅😅
Yeah, that's the bits I like.
"Wait a minute! It says 'sausages' up there!"
2 quid for one bloody sausage???
@@bc7014 Where's me other sausage?
Can I have a half a sausage for a quid?
" So dont come ere"
No you can't @ekimnamtnuts
Director went on to play Bunny in Extras, the camp theatre father.
Yumma Yumma yumma!
I think that's a young jennifer Saunders interviewing the band!? Great video with "political lyrics" lol!
It is indeed! Her and Dawn French also cropped up in the series. And she's still married to our Vim Fuego!
The directors thick Scottish accent makes it even funnier for some reason..
His name was Gerrard Kelly, Scottish comedian / actor, he did loads of TV
Nothing funnier than angry Scots accent, ask Peter Capaldi
"No no! Yeh have got tae look meeeean!"
Even when I saw him as the gay theatre dad in Extras I was thinking "No, ye have got tae look mean!" 😂
he was in Mr jolly lives next door as well - the ultimate Rik and Ade show!
"Get off we bloody paid for this! Quick eat as much as you can."
We paid for that😂😂
Better than what's in the charts rgt now.
Just thinking this reminds me of Zodiac Mindwarp, then remembered who directed 'Prime Mover'.
Great band prime mover is an awesome song his version of Feed My Frankenstein is amazing
I saw Zodiac Mindwarp support Motorhead - a splendid evening.
'No. no. You have got to look mean."
Noo, nooooo...ye have got tae look mean
I love that it's Bunny from Extras

This video could easily pass as a real Metal video, i wish their was a full version available it is a great track
Burnin' lootin' rapin' and-a-shootin',
(Repeat)
THE LYRICS, THE LYRICSSSSSSSS
Better than 90% of real metal videos and better than 100% of any metal long or video made in the last 30 years
The last bit isn't really true. There was some great metal in the 1990s.
Still have the original vinyls in my collection. Must have listened 100+ times. Awesome!!
Castle Donnington '86 what a concert 👍🏼🤘🏼
Inside everyone of us is a warrior of Genghis Khan waiting to get out!.
It actually has a reference to the Dschinghis Khan Eurovision song in the album version.
The scary thing was, we kind of liked it...
The riff is good!
brilliantly funny these guys.. RIP RIK
absolute quality....Vim Fuego....love it!
My name is Vim Fuego. I let my guitar speak for me! 😂
That's actually a great riff!
A lot more accurate than many people think.
A classic movie and they wrote awesome metal songs
Had the pleasure of seeing them at Monsters of Rock, great laugh, my only memory is Ric asking 'What does a man with a 3 foot c%%k have for breakfast? Well I had a boiled egg this morning' Or words to that effect.

The mix is actually very good.🙂
The live drum sound in this version is much better than the album version which seems to be a drum machine and the tempo is slower!
You can't get anymore political than this!
Well Genghis helped get rid of a lot of political structures so there's that.
Ade is actually pretty good as a metal singer 🤣🤣
A true poetical political song if ever there was one (it's in the lyrics!!)
Their Best, wow, so cool.
Looks like your regular Whitesnake video
Awesome ! 👍🏻
Immortal before Immortal
The late Gerard Kelly as the director there. Well known in Scotland, best known in Extras south of the border.
I seen them live twice. Ain't nuthin' else worth mentioning.
The best 🖤
"I didn't see that camera"
Classic Nigel 🤪
Brilliant
I'm gonna find this album.
What a record!
Great song!
Is that Jennifer Saunders talking about the lyrics? Sounds like her but with the big 80s hair and heavy makeup I'm not sure.
Yes
Superb!
Totally cheesy, and way better than most of the stuff on the radio today.
This seems like it should've been on an early Beavis & Butthead episode with a " YYYeeessss !" from Beavis at the start
I'm listening to this in 2024 and it unironically slays.
The main riff is actually great.
Damn. I'm a huge Young Ones fan; how is it I'm just learning about this? Anyway, thanks!
The pinnacle of heavy metal ☺️
So good!
Genius
Oh Wow ! Is that Neal the hippie from "The Young Ones" ? He's my favorite ! Certainly not Rick ! - Lol

“Yeah, and then there’s knobbing…”
I like the political aspect to this song.
"no,no,no you have got to look mean"
is that Bunny Directing them?
The main riff in this gives off a Tom Petty vibe
this is far better than a lot of the shite you can buy like def leppard
Def Leppard were a lot better in the early to mid eighties.
This slaps
It's not as intense as I remember it and yeah, Nigel accent of Spinal Tap influenced but that's all good!! Haha
Bad News were parody of metal music, but every real metal band was like parody of every other heavy band. Video just shows parody of it all!
Quite a good tactic to do a metal band and release real music, if they sell well they will roll with it, if they bomb then it was all just a piss take
1:15 it should be a rap song, for Black Lives Matter. Then it could be political.
Didn't know Nick Beggs was in bad news 😮
Comedy gold!
WARRIORS OF GENGHIS KHAN!!!!...
Pure family entertainment
They were so terrible it was great ( if that makes any sense) Donnington 86 saw them live 🤘
