Like everythin in PMD 2 is just perfect. every dungeon, every musical piece, every dialogue, just everything is so on point. For me PMD Time/Darkness is a perfect video game. I am grateful I experienced this masterpiece.
Defeating Dialga is probably one of the most satisfying victories in the entire Pokemon series for me. The others being Drake of the Hoenn E4 and Cynthia.
It probably was for me the first time, but it loses its appeal when your partner knows Imprison. Also, as a side note, even Autocorrect doesn't seem to know that it's is a contraction of it is and its is a possessive.

Phoenix Flare one of the hardest dungeons in the entire game. i get that its the final dungeon of the main story, but it was so overkill with how many porygons and their discharges were in there. and dont even get me started on dialga
Gameprince33 I know right? The whole "Pokemon used agility, pokemon used multi-hitting attack on everyone" scenario is one I've seen too many times, and it's not even exclusive to Temporal Tower. I was ready to murder someone when a Drifblim repeatedly did the same thing to my team in Mt Mistral. Though for me the Temporal Tower was worse than Dialga itself (maybe just because I was a fire type).
... I kept playing until I beat him after grinding revive seeds. In the end I never used them and we landed a fatal focuse Puch shredding his health all because we finally didn't die the first hit
Time, Darkness, and Sky will always be my personal favorites out of everything in the PMD series. Not just for the music but for the plot and depth of character as well.
I'm coming back to this. I remember being so excited for this remix when it was first made. It still sends shivers down my spine from how well it's done.
... Wow. When I first listened to this, I did a double take. My issue with most remixes I listen to is that they don't seem to fit if you replaced the old track with the remix. But this theme applies with that, and it's amazing to listen to. I wouldn't mind if this was in the actual game instead of the original track. Well done!

Pfft. Eevee is only good once they evolve. Skitty gets STAB on everything along with some amazing status moves. Teach it Tackle, Shadow Ball, Sing, and Heal Bell and it becomes extremely useful in both boss fights and general adventuring. Eevee has bad stats and a terrible movepool. The only advantage it has over Skitty is that it learns Helping Hand, which still isn't great. Yeah I love Eevee as a Pokemon, and it's evolutions can be really fun and powerful, but in terms of the main story Eevee is trash.
Neil Clark Eevee actually has a fine movepool. It's certainly good enough to compete with the likes of Skitty. For instance: Tackle, Shadow Ball, Bite, Helping Hand. Plus, Eevee's overall stats are actually higher. On top of that, Normalize actually isn't very good at all since it makes it so Skitty cannot have any form of coverage, whereas Eevee has the superior Adaptability. So to recap, they have ~equally useful movepools, Eevee has superior stats, and Eevee has a superior ability. They're both kinda meh even in PMD, but Eevee's better, and unlike Skitty, some of Eevee's evolutions are actually good. The only thing you really have to make sure of is that Eevee is the player-character and not the partner, because Run Away is terrible. Pretty much everything makes a better partner than Eevee because, seriously, Run Away is really bad. But hey, at least Run Away is only a burden for a partner Eevee. Normalize still forces Skitty to have absolutely no type-coverage even if you choose it for the main character.
1) Eevee's movepool is not good at all. Sorry, but it's true. No status inflicting moves, no room-clearers, and one support move that is barely worth it. Your better off running Quick Attack then Helping Hand most of the time. 2)Yeah Skitty gets Normalize, but it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. Tackle will still chunk most of baddies you run into. Besides, Skitty's more of a support Pokemon anyway. If you really want some type coverage, there are way better choices than either of the Normal-type quadrupeds. 3) Stats in Mystery Dungeon don't work like they do in the main series games. In those games, yes Eevee does have better stats. However, in PMD the stats work... strangely. Comparing the stats between Eevee and Skitty, they fluctuate throughout their levels (They're sometimes higher than the other, sometimes lower), however Skitty levels up much faster than Eevee does in the early levels which really sets them apart in terms of strength. 4) Adaptability... Forgot about that one. I've played through the game as an Eevee before and I haven't really noticed it doing much. Tackle and Quick Attack would be boosted, which is nice I guess but it really doesn't make up for Eevee's other weaknesses. 5) If you really want those Eeveeloutions, why not just recruit an Eevee and evolve it after beating Dialga? It's way better than trying to run through the game with one. When picking Eevee, the way I found it worked was like this: You either pick her as your partner and deal with her running away every time she gets hit, or you play as Eevee and just have the game be more difficult than it needs to be.
This is such a legendary remix. The theme itself fits for what's going on. You have to climb the top of the tower in such critical condition to prevent the planet's paralysis from happening with so little time left. Ugh... this dungeon was pure hell for me. Especially the top floors. Along with Primal Dialga, which was infuriatingly difficult for me. I failed like 60 times until I finally beat him. Man it's been so long last time I played Darkness. Should I start new game even though I'll lose everything that I tried so hard to earn?

I love everything about this mix! Temporal Tower being one of my fav themes in Mystery Dungeon history. The artwork, which looks like some sort of ancient, rare concept art that existed before the game came out. And the mix, which is perfect!! Excellent work @GlitchxCity!!
This song is amazing. It reminded me of the game itself. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of time, darkness and sky are all games that really put Pokémon into perspective for me. When I was 10 and I finished Time for the first time, when you die after beating Dialga, I started crying for a long time and then my sister who was playing Darkness finished a day after me and we both cried together for a few hours. This song always makes me feel sad because the journey was coming to a close. ;)
This remix captures everything I’d hoped the original song would have had. When the player arrives at Temporal Tower normally, the original song starts off a bit too slow to make it seem like this is the finale. But this version captures the urgency to ascend the tower, like the fast 16th notes on piano giving me the idea of quickly ascending a staircase to the tower’s peak. The techno bass (I’m not sure how to describe the bass sound on the 1-count of each measure) makes me think it’s Dialga’s pulse or heartbeat emanating throughout the tower, causing it to collapse even faster than before. And finally the parts with the flute, they sound almost melancholy, like the main character stops in their tracks to ponder if they can still follow through with this, knowing they might cease to exist, but continuing onward to save their friends and loved ones. Glitch, thank you so much for this =]
i just made the opositte. The sky tower and Rayquaza's fight were easier for me than the temporal tower and Primal Dialga's fight. The fuck temporal roar killed me a lot of times

I loved it way too much, the music, the unique bond you form with your partner and Grovyle... and it also amazes me how almost everyone's first play through was unique because of the quiz. I was a Bulbasaur and my partner was a Riolu (I realized after that a lot people picked Riolu as their partner).

Battling Dialga in mystery dungeon explorers of sky was kinda funny... My partner did all the attacking(Riolu) while I just threw endless sleep seeds and stun seeds and ate blast seeds(was an Eevee.. Normal moves dont work well) Poor Dialga; Forever stunned/asleep
Eh... I happened to have bite. and my partner had bite as well.. so i made it so he would only bite. while i kept us alive with the limited items we had... had to redo that fight several times until we got lucky..

I think it took me only 3 tries?... once I figured out i shouldn't bother with attacking and just focus on item use and keeping me and my partner from using the limited Reviver seeds we had.... Fun Times!
PMD2 is love, PMD2 is life. Tru story liek if u cri: I was playing PMD2 and I was on hard buss batel and my DS was red and I was at a docter plaec cos my mum needed a check up. I knew my tiem was up. But I cried and the tear went in my DS and it created a magic and my pokemen got buff as hell and shrekt the buss and i was abel to safe my gaem.

PMD2 story was amazing...honestly I gotta say. If I never played the Mystery Dungeon series...I dunno if I would've even been into playing Pokemon games again. I'm sure there will be a Mystery Dungeon game just as good as MD2. Don't see why there wouldn't. It may just come out later than we want.

Pfft. Eevee is only good once they evolve.
Skitty gets STAB on everything along with some amazing status moves. Teach it Tackle, Shadow Ball, Sing, and Heal Bell and it becomes extremely useful in both boss fights and general adventuring.
Eevee has bad stats and a terrible movepool. The only advantage it has over Skitty is that it learns Helping Hand, which still isn't great.
Yeah I love Eevee as a Pokemon, and it's evolutions can be really fun and powerful, but in terms of the main story Eevee is trash.
Neil Clark Eevee actually has a fine movepool. It's certainly good enough to compete with the likes of Skitty. For instance: Tackle, Shadow Ball, Bite, Helping Hand. Plus, Eevee's overall stats are actually higher. On top of that, Normalize actually isn't very good at all since it makes it so Skitty cannot have any form of coverage, whereas Eevee has the superior Adaptability.
So to recap, they have ~equally useful movepools, Eevee has superior stats, and Eevee has a superior ability. They're both kinda meh even in PMD, but Eevee's better, and unlike Skitty, some of Eevee's evolutions are actually good. The only thing you really have to make sure of is that Eevee is the player-character and not the partner, because Run Away is terrible. Pretty much everything makes a better partner than Eevee because, seriously, Run Away is really bad. But hey, at least Run Away is only a burden for a partner Eevee. Normalize still forces Skitty to have absolutely no type-coverage even if you choose it for the main character.
1) Eevee's movepool is not good at all. Sorry, but it's true. No status inflicting moves, no room-clearers, and one support move that is barely worth it. Your better off running Quick Attack then Helping Hand most of the time.
2)Yeah Skitty gets Normalize, but it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. Tackle will still chunk most of baddies you run into. Besides, Skitty's more of a support Pokemon anyway. If you really want some type coverage, there are way better choices than either of the Normal-type quadrupeds.
3) Stats in Mystery Dungeon don't work like they do in the main series games. In those games, yes Eevee does have better stats. However, in PMD the stats work... strangely. Comparing the stats between Eevee and Skitty, they fluctuate throughout their levels (They're sometimes higher than the other, sometimes lower), however Skitty levels up much faster than Eevee does in the early levels which really sets them apart in terms of strength.
4) Adaptability... Forgot about that one. I've played through the game as an Eevee before and I haven't really noticed it doing much. Tackle and Quick Attack would be boosted, which is nice I guess but it really doesn't make up for Eevee's other weaknesses.
5) If you really want those Eeveeloutions, why not just recruit an Eevee and evolve it after beating Dialga? It's way better than trying to run through the game with one. When picking Eevee, the way I found it worked was like this: You either pick her as your partner and deal with her running away every time she gets hit, or you play as Eevee and just have the game be more difficult than it needs to be.
This is such a legendary remix.
The theme itself fits for what's going on.
You have to climb the top of the tower in such critical condition to prevent the planet's paralysis from happening with so little time left.
Ugh... this dungeon was pure hell for me. Especially the top floors. Along with Primal Dialga, which was infuriatingly difficult for me. I failed like 60 times until I finally beat him. Man it's been so long last time I played Darkness. Should I start new game even though I'll lose everything that I tried so hard to earn?
i have to say temporal tower is my favorite song of the entire track of all MD games, this just makes it better.

I love everything about this mix! Temporal Tower being one of my fav themes in Mystery Dungeon history. The artwork, which looks like some sort of ancient, rare concept art that existed before the game came out. And the mix, which is perfect!! Excellent work @GlitchxCity!!
This song is amazing. It reminded me of the game itself. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of time, darkness and sky are all games that really put Pokémon into perspective for me. When I was 10 and I finished Time for the first time, when you die after beating Dialga, I started crying for a long time and then my sister who was playing Darkness finished a day after me and we both cried together for a few hours. This song always makes me feel sad because the journey was coming to a close. ;)
This remix captures everything I’d hoped the original song would have had. When the player arrives at Temporal Tower normally, the original song starts off a bit too slow to make it seem like this is the finale. But this version captures the urgency to ascend the tower, like the fast 16th notes on piano giving me the idea of quickly ascending a staircase to the tower’s peak. The techno bass (I’m not sure how to describe the bass sound on the 1-count of each measure) makes me think it’s Dialga’s pulse or heartbeat emanating throughout the tower, causing it to collapse even faster than before. And finally the parts with the flute, they sound almost melancholy, like the main character stops in their tracks to ponder if they can still follow through with this, knowing they might cease to exist, but continuing onward to save their friends and loved ones. Glitch, thank you so much for this =]

Just played it for the first time because of how everyone talks about it. I loved it way too much, the music, the unique bond you form with your partner and Grovyle... and it also amazes me how almost everyone's first play through was unique because of the quiz. I was a Bulbasaur and my partner was a Riolu (I realized after that a lot people picked Riolu as their partner).
Zark I played AS riolu... much more convenient, plus my partner was pikachu so I can deal with monster houses. Riolu + Pikachu best combo ever.

Battling Dialga in mystery dungeon explorers of sky was kinda funny... My partner did all the attacking(Riolu) while I just threw endless sleep seeds and stun seeds and ate blast seeds(was an Eevee.. Normal moves dont work well)

I think it took me only 3 tries?... once I figured out i shouldn't bother with attacking and just focus on item use and keeping me and my partner from using the limited Reviver seeds we had.... Fun Times!
