Employers and Companies have a strong preference for hiring young workers / graduates. Those hires have yet to experience the arbitrary and frantic environment that is our contemporary workplace. They may give an intense 10 years effort helping their bosses get promoted before realising the game is fixed. Employers don't want to hire older, wiser people who know the state of play.
Maybe that's true in a normal labor market, but right now, young workers and new graduates are not being hired at all. Employers want five years of experience for entry-level jobs and even three years of experience and internship experience for internships. It's so crazy. Everyone is suffering, young, old, with or without experience.

The economists are so out of touch that they are just now figuring it out.
You're right.
We are in a depression. More retail closing. Big Lots got saved by a company buying them but it will close again. More layoffs.
I agree. It's not good.
They themselves aren’t unemployed so the winners write the history
That's true.

So Economist are still employed…
It’s stagnant for house sitting jobs. Not enough people with any substantial money to travel.
Hard to pay rent and have money left over for anything at the salaries these days
Experts are just establishment mouthpiece. Jim Cramer is still considered an expert despite his track record
That's a good example
you look like the "source??" meme 🤣
I'll take that as a compliment 🤓
it's the wealth gap for me - only 12-14 percent of americans have over 1 million dollars or more
True. That's a major issue
