Please take that tape off and properly solder them together, you will have a connection that will never fail, or at least use wire nuts.

This is wrong. The red (brake light) wire should go to a different bulb. If you wire it like shown in the video, the lights will always be on 100%
It should be 30% with tail lights on and 100% when breaking. Also you DO NOT have to strip your factory wires. lmk if I can help!

Why don't you need to tap into the factory wires? How else would you do it?

I don't know if you will reply, but should I connect the red wire to the white wire of the blue socket, and then the black and white wire to the black socket?

Hey man! Thank you for this but how did u figure out which is positive, negative, and neutral wires? I am trying to install brake light that comes with the diffuser.

LuWiGi so your black would be your ground but just tie that to the black wire from the connector then after you should have two wires left a positive and a neural but in this case those two tap together then tap it to the red from the connector.

This is probably the only video showing how to install this. I’m trying to install those LEDs that replace the reflectors (the ones you had on before). How were you able to put out the OEM reflectors and install the LED reflectors? Did you have to unscrew the fake vent also?

Kenneth Eng So majority of the OEM are clips that this one is being held onto but there is one screw on the far end on the back that is held onto also.
