Are you South African? This is great and I love your style of teaching. Used pillows but I am going to buy some bolsters and try this again. From a Kiwi
@sjdelacy7712 Hi there - I'm Australian. Thanks for your feedback, I"m glad you enjoy my style of teaching 😀 Hope you manage to get some good bolsters.
Yes it can be challenging 😀 If it feels really too intense with two bolsters perhaps put some folded blankets on top as well to create more height / support.
@@emmaeIIe In this class I do take you through a number of poses that should help prepare the muscles for the splits but if you feel it would be helpful doing some other poses to warm up the body, go for it (standing poses could be helpful). 😀
Yes it can be uncomfortable, take care to not go too far. Use more support under your thighs and lean into the chair, or do between two chairs and lean into them as you try to split the legs.
We must use caution when practicing any pose. It's important not to push or force. I was fortunate to have Guruji overseeing me when practicing this pose when I was at RIMYI many years ago. It is a pose that can take many months to attain and some may not attain it and that is ok.It is the process in the practice, not the outcome that is our focus 😀
@@IyengarYogawithHeather Thanks for your reply, you were so lucky to learn under Guruji, I really liked ur videos and tutorials I will keep practising , best wishes, hope to meet you someday in India

@@JeffreydaSilvaGonske You're welcome 😀🙏
Danke!
That was more challenging than I expected even with two bolsters on top of each other.

@IyengarYogawithHeather Will do. Should I warm up a bit more before doing this practice?
