    @3:25 the first hand, you do not have a lot of Tx flushes. It’s just JTs/KTs. But you have a ton of Asx flushes.

    very interesting input! Can't wait to see more from you! Also, I'm definetly interested in a video about geometric betsizing, how to calculate it, why it´s important etc. Keep it UP!

  • @matta5749

    I think dudd1 was maybe thinking you’d react to his small turn size by raising thinner for value, leaving you capped on the river.
    He might also think you call too often with bluffcatchers that have good blocker properties against big river bets. Like maybe he thinks you’ll overfold 8x, 6x, and Jx when he’s representing all his TP+ but then you’ll call too often when he represents sets.

      So many assumptions have to be right for it to be a thing...but anyways, no big deal, everyone makes mistakes/gets too greedy sometimes :D He is an extremely good player

    Thanks for this amazing free content, you do a really great job ! Don't you think now the hand AQs in NL40K is a call turn ? His value range is KQ, AK, you have blockers on these 2 hands and no redraw full for him on your FD outs, and you totally crush the Ax of clubs he can play like that. I didnt do math but against this range I guess we have odds to call, no ?

    • @matti4742
      @matti4742 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its rougly 22% equity against villains trips. He has with range of 1/2 AKo, AKs-KTs rougly 18 combos, after that flop it being 9 and heros blockers, 7.7 combos. There is KK as a 0.8 combos that gives equity of 19.9% against villains valuerange If we give villain also AA and QQ as value shoves, it would be 20,5% against 14.7 combos of value. Required equity is rougly 24.5% so given villain ever bluffs this line even 1.5 combos worth with AXcc it would be a call. Given that this is against as capable opponent as Taisto, Id say this is definetly a +EV call. Probably not worth the variance for Saulo though, proving the importance of solid bankroll management.

    • @matti4742
      @matti4742 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also if KJs and KTs would not shove for value against PPs it would be also just a call.

  • @fabianroberntz3545
    @fabianroberntz3545 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ofcourse when he's got AK in range 86 is a call. Otherwise do you think he mostly overbets atleast 88 and 66 on turn due to unblocking Kx hence making the blocking effect of the 86 not being that important on the river. Still blocking better two pair so idk.

    • @saulocostapoker
      @saulocostapoker  ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure my hand has good blocking properties. But it's a 5x pot shove in a SRP, it happens so infrequently that other stuff will take priority in the thought process. At the time to be honest I just felt like I had to call, intuitively. Can't explain why

    Another line of reasoning from Tobias might be:
    -pop' is likely more capped than equil
    -they likely overfold to 4.5x
    If his hand starts garnering Mergy FE (folds out better) than the EV of his jam ofc "Skyrockets"
    This is obviously frowned upon by most, turning AK into Mergy bluff, but you did consider folding (which ofc isn't unreasonable as against most it's a pure catcher) and he removes k2s. It's just a game of calibration. Does 4.5x ramming tptk on this runout garner more EV than other lines... Ofc you barely have to call anything here but to incentivize the jam (w/o nodelocking overfold) you'd have to be super capped (this isn't an over capped spot imo) and then I guess this is offset by the potential overfold. Obviously if he has myriad 2p+ and oop IS super capped then he can just jam range and oop folds range but I'd be interested in the parameters that dudd1 was eluding to in his thought process to warrant this play.
    Super interesting hand from dudd1, not sure I'd have the cajones to make this catch - may lock out a sim later. tbc

    La mano de TT es una locura ! antes de ver la mano y las cartas del villano me puse a pensar que mano flota a pot que luego quiera blufear river ! Las unicas que se me ocurrieron fueron al como ATh KJh AJh que en turn no quieren apostar para no comerse un CH/R y en river ante tu apuesta que pareciera mostrar debilidad la convierte en bluff representando la escalera .

  • @nova9901
    @nova9901 ปีที่แล้ว

    What would your river bluffs be for hand #1? After calling turn 2x you would have to be turning like AJo with As into a bluff. Just curious what your bluffs might be. Great content though and a new subscriber here

  • @Doblou13
    @Doblou13 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    WTF HAND#4 LOL. I don't know man, his play is such a massive punt that you gotta be SO sure of that exploit, and I don't see any world in which someone should make that big of a deviation, specially against you. So many 2p available, I guess he was assuming you would always raise 2p+ OTT, which obviously is not true and a massive disrespect to a high stakes regular. Real punt by Tobias on that one.

    Hola Saulo ! buenas manos . Me sorprende que siendo tu un jugador de NL10K te cueste jugar una mesa de NL40K ! . La mano en particular AQh en 4bet pot , cuando hace 1/2 bote pienso que la mayoria de los turn va a ir allin , por lo que prefiero ir allin flop ya que muchas veces no te van a dejar ver el river y vas a estar en una desicion compleja como la que tuviste .Lo que si me sorprende que el al doblarse el K en turn va allin ! ya que tu puede tener perfectamente AK pagando preflop y uno espera alta frecuencia de check en ese turn . Tampoco se puede esperar que te considere un fish por no conocerte y jugar de esa manera sus QK AK

    Serious question why are you playing such high stakes, when you normally play 200 zoom?

    • @saulocostapoker
      @saulocostapoker  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don't normally play 200zoom...perhaps you had that impression because of the Play & Explain. If I were grinding consistently these days, you would find me playing 1knl, which is my bread and butter, and then the occasional 5k/10knl table when games are good. But its hard to put volume when you have a business and is trying to grow another one on youtube 😅
      Next play and explain video will be at 1knl. Stay tuned!

    Nice hands, J8 call from opp def suprising. re. 68 hand; is it not always a flop raise against a small sizing? Call seems standard vs big sizing but I know solvers like to raise small sizing more frequently and bottom 2pr seems especially good bc it's more vulnerable and it doesn't block top pair.
    edit: I guess they went for overshove bc they just didn't expect you to have 68 and he blocks other TP combos. I really don't think it's that bad from them as you really do have a lot more 1 pair hands as opposed to 2 pair hands.
